Which knife that you own came with the sharpest blade?

Ok, ok, I know this is totally not the kind of knife you meant, but I think that of all the knives in our store, the ceramic Kyocera knives are the sharpest. :D The Global knives are pretty damn sharp too. But I don't think you meant kitchen knives, huh? ;)

The sharpest production knife I have bought is probably the Brusletto I bought recently. It is shaving sharp.

The dullest was the Lewis International Israeli Commando knife. It really doesn't come with an edge at all. I like the design better than our own Marine Combat knife, but the execution on this one sure is lacking.

These were the sharpest factory knives out of the box that I own (in no particular order):
Cold Steel
Twistmaster (both clip and drop points)
LTC Kukri
CRK&T
Polkowski/Kasper Companion
Explorer
21-176
Meyerco
Buddy System

My Busse Natural Outlaw is the sharpest blade I've handled. I have other Busses and Striders, but this Natural Outlaw is freakishly sharp.

MT Mini SOCOM tanto (blood to prove it)
Benchmade AFCK II M2 (ditto)
Spyderco Wegner Jr (kept my fingers off the blade this time...)
Kershaw Boa -not just the blade either! The thumb ramps were like razors:rolleyes:
Busse Basic 9 -shaved hair on my arm, and cut the back of my hand because I was watching the hair on my arm instead of where the tip was going...:o

Seeing a pattern here? I'm not good at sharpening - I suspect it's a self-preservation mechanism...:D

Are you forgetting your LUDT Barghout? the tip on that one was pretty sharp!

Production:
Definitely Spyderco...the Civilian is the sharpest knife I have EVER handled! All of my Spydercos are D@MN sharp!

Customs:
RJ Martin and DDR Mad Maxx Bullnose in Talonite (don't own them yet...but the sharpest that I have handled)

Until today I would say my Chive, but the Leek I just got is wicked sharp, even more than my BM 720.

Spydies in VG-10 are scary sharp!
Mine bit me after I took it out of the box and tried to shave with it, It was so sharp that I could not even feel the cut!

Productions seem to be hit or miss....I'd say my Spyderco Lum Chinese was the sharpest.

Custom-wise:
Mike Snody knives are consistently very scary sharp, Neil Blackwoods knives are extremely sharp as are Murray Carters, Tom Mayo, and Jerry Hossom....I could go on, but I guess these are the top few in my experience.

In my experience, the manufacturers who consistently deliver the sharpest out-of-the-box products are Microtech and Marbles (I'm speaking of the now-discontinued 52100 steel blades with the convex edge).

The most impressive edges (sharpness-wise) that I've seen on custom knives are on blades from Ray Kirk and Murray Carter. Far and away the sharpest knives that I own...

Sebenza, hands down. A couple of Microtechs I've owned were damn sharp. But the 'benza takes it.
