Which knives would you pick for WWIII? (If it ever starts)

As a cheap but reliable backup field knife, the Glock 78 or 81 would be my choice.

Relatively cheap, pretty much indestructible and something you shouldn't care much about if you lose or damage it.

Made of spring steel that's easy to sharpen (even w/just a rock if that's all you've got) and suitable for all kinds of uses, including hand to hand combat.

I was kidding of course earlier about the Glock 19, obviously any sane person would be carrying a firearm...and a knife.

I think I'd go with several Winkler Knives options. Maybe a Winkler Belt Knife and a couple of his combat axes. Add a few of his Spikes, and we're all set.


I'll be honest though. I feel any good WWIII kit would be well on the light side without Ninja Stars! Jus Sayin.

The first knife/tool I would carry would be my Victorinox Spirit multi-tool.

Down in-pockets, my Executive and Pioneer SAKs.

Clipped to pocket, either my Spyderco Manix 2 or CRK large 21 Insingo.

Anything else for me is optional. Probably a Buck fixed blade. If it’s WW3, and it’s come here, IMO a knife isn’t gonna do much good against enemy soldiers. Anything knife-related is best carried for its utility uses, as opposed to any potential combative uses (IMO).

If I’m running, my largest pack has a ST300, Opinel Outdoor, F1, and a Bahco Laplander....maybe I’ll grab a tomahawk or Bowie on the way out the door, but I’d be more worried about grabbing guns and ammo.
