Ok, heres my reasoning. when you get hit either square in the throat, nose bridge, or on the spine direct, right up underneath your head, with this tomahawk, youre going down instantly. you arent screamin shit. youll mostly likely get knocked out from the blow. If not, i can still finish him right there immediately. no worries. I can assure you it wont be a long and horrible moan or scream. I bet your paycheck on it.
defeats body armor. meaning.. not DIRECTLY. like if i tried to hit him in the chest, while wearing a vest. I should have clarified it. he could come in with a kevlar and flak jacket on, and hes still gettin hit in the nose bridge, throat, or back of the spine. period. (thats why i said that body armor isnt a concern.) am i concerned with body armor these days? yep, they are allllll over my neighborhood. especially with the gun and knife shows and ebay just sellin em off all over the place. and then the crazies start watchin 44 minutes and gettin ideas. theres even military grade crap with multistrike rifle plates on ebay now.. to double tap someone in the chest automatically, could get ya in some trouble now. thats the way i see it. i never just out of nowhere assume hes good to strike centre mass. If i intend on killing, i shoot for the face. one time.
'can instantly incapacitate limbs" if youre walking down a hallway for instance, with say, a knife stretched out in front of you, and someone comes down on that forearm or joint really hard with this hawk.. you think youre going to be using that arm again anytime soon? im betting not.
and yes, these can be less than lethal. if i just ease up on the force, and use the reverse side, it wont kill someone. cuz im not sure i WANT to kill anyone outside of war. i know the laws... and what theyre going to do. i still think, that taking someones life is a big thing, and im not sure id want to do it for just home invasion. i know ill suffer in court but, hey, 'at least hes still alive" right? its just another threat level the hawk gives me. I believe its a bit harder to adjust those lethality levels with a gun, when youre half awake, and his shape is dark against the dark background. I believe its easier to accidentally kill someone with a bullet, than with a hawk, or other hand held weapon.
if its not a life and death situation, one shouldnt be firing a gun? true.. i agree. but how do you KNOW what type of situation it is?
yea i agree, they shouldnt have made suppressors unavailable without a tax stamp..
'and alerts neighbors when fired.' you may want to show the whole neighborhood but i dont. i dont care to play out a 'BAM" ..Then the cops and ambulances come, and carry out some dude.. while the whole neighborhood stares.. and the local news is watching too... not a great thing to show while youre in court. id rather have it done and over with. calm and quiet. ill call the police. theyll see him either knocked out or dead, depending on mett-t, and then theyll call the ambulance. noone will know why, or how come, till the information gets released in a more controlled manner, at a more appropriate time. im not into 'stealth' killing.. im no assassin. i just prefer to be discreet about my business, and not show the whole neighborhood what just went on. everyones already going to make you out to be a jerk for shooting a person with a gun, much less using the crazy ranger sxt or whatever 'intentional man killer' bullets you guys load in your guns... I prefer it to be quiet so that i dont alert the whole neighborhood. I dont need 18 stupid people running up to my door saying what happened??? what?? YOU SHOT SOMEONE??? OH MY GOD!!!! THE JONES'S SHOT SOMEONE!!!.. screw that. its not like im goint to bury the body next... im just a private person thats all.
and i dont need you questioning my ability to abide by the law either, just because of the way i look at things.
Dont mistake any of these violent description as me being a violent person. Because I am not. Hell, I never even fought in highschool. Not one single time. ever. I never even skipped a class before. I just am kinda passionate about home defense. Maybe its because I dont trust anyone around me, or too many years of 'security security security' being pounded in my head in the service. Im not sure. But I look at the physical security of my premises kind of strictly. Its mine. Its all we pretty much have in this world. And I also look at someone breaking into your house, as an offensive move. We have our two cars in the driveway. If you see that, but still decide to break in. That tells me one thing. You knew someone was home, and yet you didnt care. Why? probably cuz you aimed on doing them in, and getting them out of your way, so that you can clear out the house. (though, i still try my hardest, to see if hes armed, and if so, with what, so i can adjust the lethality to get the job done, without any unecessary force)
I look at a gun, as making its user look like they NEVER ever had ANY intention of utilizing the minimum amount of force to get the job done. The laws here are soo strict, that I just pretty much never pick up a gun anymore unless i absolutely have to. If i can identify early on, that the threat level, or enemy situation is very dangerous, then sure ill grab a firearm. but until i do, i prefer non projectile throwing weapons if i can. its just me.
