Who likes and carries a congress

That Hoffritz stag half-congress is superb, @rishma ! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

That "hybrid" Henckels stag congress is very attractive for the reasons you note AlwaysTomboy AlwaysTomboy ! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: What are the two smaller blade shapes? Pen and coping?

Now THIS model has called out to me for quite a while! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: I totally agree with @Old Biker 's rationale! ;)

The only congress patterns I have are this Rough Rider

That case half congress is nice I like it looks like it had a easy open cut out for it nice

- bought out of curiosity a few years ago, this Congress is a solid very well made folder

My natural preference is single blade, but must carry this more often.

Do any of you use your Congress well...?

I have had mine a imperial congress imp15con I got it cheap at a knife store they had them on sale for like 6 bucks it seemed well made strong springs good walk and talk. I figured I would get one to try for a while to see if I like the pattern and will get a better one later on when I have more funds. It is a good user only had one little hardly noticable gap between one line and spring. Takes a decent edge. I used it at work to strip wire on some sensors I had to replace on some machines, had to use it to awl and trim out a button top for a push button on a machine control we did not have exact model spare and since other one was broken I modified it to make it work o none got cut on the broken one till I get some correct spares in. Cuts cardboard up great for clean up in shop or home to make room in recycling bin. Whtitles real good. I am hopeing to kill a turkey this year and use the comeing blade to skin and filet the breasts off ot since I used to carry a big ole tank of a cheap one hand opener. I have heard of others useing the coping blade on their buck lancers to git and clean game if jackknife's peanut worked well for him and his dad cleaning fish it should do ok and will be light weight on me. I Knew a guy who had me sharpen a knife for home was a half congress from I think it said buck creek on it I am known at work as the knife guy and people bring me anything with an edge to sharpen lol I started thinking like a year ago man I need to maybe try a congress I like I have multiple blades to do more with when at work so if one gets somewhat dull I can use another so far works well

Yessir, that exactly. (& Thank you. I knew that small sheepsfoot blade had another name but for the life of me, I couldn't think of it. :oops:)

Thanks for the confirmation, AT. :thumbsup: And you're welcome for the terminology assist; I need those frequently as I start embracing my "senior moments." :rolleyes::D

Congress opened ot all and we finally got to go to sleep lol kids are funny

I was able to check out one of our forum knives, the congress jack, in a pass around. It was super classy looking and useful in size. It had to go back though!!! LOL. One day I'll come across one and snag it! I enjoyed the knife and would be proud to carry one. I got one of the GEC 13s from a member here and gave it to my bro for a gift. It was similar but not as classy looking with the flat muslin scales. I think my limit on the blades would be two. So, maybe a half congress could work too. Here's someones pic of the congress jack I'm writing about.

Have never been there I live a bit away across the border in Harlan
Wow. Harlan KY.... lived there for a while. Loved Pine Mountain. That store is not so far from ya of course it is not likely to be the main focus of a trip to Sevierville/Smoky Mt NP area. I was just in Gatlinburg Friday. No I didn't stop at the store. I am knifed out at the moment with recent purchases. I was there in Mid-March and bought a number of knives from them during that visit.
I prefer a Moose pattern to a Congress generally speaking if I'm going to get the squared ends.
