Unfortunately, there is no heavy patina on that stainless blade.

No patina on these TruSharp blades, either.... my Sunday church carry, after carrying them Saturday, as well. The 5347 stockman, and the swayback jack, both stag...

Very true, and it adds a little visual interest to it too.
When I first got the knife, the pile side was almost black.
But they have mellowed to a dark brown with pocket carry.
