Who still carries a Case Knife?

Nice group of Barlows. I bought a few of the two bladed ones from that last run & I think Case did a good job.

Thanks.

F&F on mine are good, except blade play. All but one have it, from just noticeable to almost a rattle. Exception is the black synthetic, it's an example of how great a knife Case is capable of building.

Well that sucks! I got five from the last run a couple years ago, and only this red one had any blade play. Which figures, because I like it the best out of the whole bunch.

This 6332 probably has the least interesting bone of all of my old Case knives as there is hardly any variation in the color. But I like the pattern so much that it's hard to get out of the pocket.

Still a fine knife mind

Frankly, I'm leaning to the opinion that CASE make the best Stockman, so many patterns, so much variety in scales. I'm currently waiting for a big Stockman from Queen, let's see how this compares- they did a grand knife in D2 in my opinion.

This one will be tomorrow's pocketable cutter. Love the simple brown synthetic and the bolster etch.

I think I agree with you, especially for knives in the 3.5" range. I know many really like the GEC 66. I have one and never carry it because I don't like the action on the secondaries. I'll take the 6318 or 6332 over it every time. For a big stockman, I really like the GEC 82. It might slightly edge out the Case 75 for me but not by much. I've never owned a Queen.

They do. The sad part is they rarely make the 47 and it is now a 3 spring design with thinner blade stock. The 2-spring 47 stockman and Muskrat are the by far my favorite patterns.

As I say, I feel their range of Stockman is impressive, they get the sizes/proprtions correct. GEC has yet to make a credible Medium Stockman- one with snap and that's not over heavy for its size. The 81 and 82 are great big Stock knives but snap cold be better or the latter and a scaled down version would be killer. GEC is much less impressive with smaller patterns too.

Just playing about with a CASE 18 right now, it's a brilliant Medium knife as is its cousin the 32 :thumbsup:

They have experimented with what is left of the stag after the bark is removed to make the stag handles we all love. Lots of material left that would go to waste, Second Cut is jigged or cut stag that uses the left over parts. Examples of Case Second Cut Stag over the years:
