Who still carries a Case Knife?

I know I posted this over in “ what traditional you toting “ a few days ago , but this mini trapper was my companion along with a Cadet while on a 2 week vacation.

I’ve been eyeing a couple of the American workman knives which now have 1095 steel. I’m seeking advise from some of you who have carried and used these.
Can you notice any difference compared to Case’s Chrome Vanadium when it comes to sharpening or edge retention? I’ve read what Case says about the 1095, just want to hear what other knife enthusiasts think of it. I’m a fan of chrome vanadium in vintage Case knives. Also love to hear from anyone who has real life experience with the American workman series of knives. Thanks in advance for your help.

It’s a Case. One of the Case Bro. runs where they would sometimes use different shields and tang stamps.I’m not sure if it goes back to the shields from the Case Bro. times or not. I’m a bit rusty on my Case history.

I am not up on case history. I have never seen that combination before.

Just looking around online I think they were a series on 2004. I traded another Case for it with a guy on another forum several years back.
