Is that a 6292, John? Might just be the angle of the shot, but it looks more squared off than mine. Great color bone, as well....
It's just the angle, it's got the typical square bolsters.it looks more squared off than mine.
I have seen your picture before and like what you did with the knife - your "Wharnfoot" looks very functional and is nicely shaped. The drawback to me is that the Sheepfoot/Lambsfoot/Coping/Wharncliffe style blade (in that order) is very functional and my second most used blade, while the Clip is the most useful blade to me - it's also visually the best looking blade. The Spey blade is the least useful blade to me unless I use it as a Spear or Pen; a Mini Trapper with Clip Main and Sheepfoot Secondary would be most useful. OH..... or, you could convert the clip blade to a wharnfoot style and slightly re-profile the spey.... just sayin....![]()

A Dremel with a cut-off wheel. Went slowly, to avoid heat issues. Once the majority was gone, I evened it up on my little belt sander. I wanted to make it more of a real lambfoot, but the nail nick wouldn't let me, so I went from there, rounding it slightly.... not really a wharncliffe, not really a lambfoot...I have seen your picture before and like what you did with the knife - your "Wharnfoot" looks very functional and is nicely shaped. Ps. what method did you use to cut off the excess blade material before shaping to the final blade profile?
Hi, Thanks.Love that Case trapper, and I really like the photo!![]()
That saddlehorn looks sweet, Harry! Glad to hear it’s getting some honest work. Lions don’t like to be held in cages (safes)
Beautiful John, we all could use more yellow Delrin in our lives!
