Who's gotten their 5.1 Starter?

Very cool, King! I have a 4.7 coming with the same color scheme. Looks so good. Canvas, right?

Welcome to the forum!

Awesome looking on that black canvas Old King Cole. It seems to contrast nicely with the new peened finishing.

Congrats bud! Great idea also!
Thanks! I am convinced GSOs are probably all I will ever need, that's why I got the 3.5. Am considering a 4.5 as well but am not 100% certain. I think I have more knives now than I could really use. Only started this knife hobby somewhere late September last year and I am swamped with knives now.

Man you jumped in feet first! I'm pretty sure your convictions are correct because a large majority of us have let go of other knives once we received a Survive! knife. I personally went from having 5-10 fixed blades from other companies down to only owning 2 Survives because they handle my needs. My 3.5 basically forced me to sell all of my really nice folders because it could do everything they could and be stronger while doing it.

I had my 3.5 sitting on my desk this week when a buddy of mine who thinks like I do about knives came in. I didn't say anything because I knew he would get around to it sooner or later. I had to step out to help a customer and when I walked back into the office, the 3.5 was out and he says, "who makes this?!!" He was on the website that night contemplating an order, ha. To me the 3.5 is like the 5.1 in that it's just one of those blades that everyone needs at least one.

OKC, that is a great shot of the 5.1 on the moss. Thanks for the pic and welcome!

Haha you're right about that! Hopefully he'll pick one up. You might want to let him know that there's a nice one up on eBay right now. I'm drooling over it even though I don't need another.

Well? I have no Survive! knife and while waiting for mine to be made I started looking elsewhere to fill the gap first and one thing let to another. I know I will still hold on to all my bushcraft knives from LT Wright and Mora because I just love those Scandi grinds. I wish S!K makes knife in Scandi and 3V.

Just wait till you get one bud. They might change your perspective on a lot of blades.

I've been trying to get him familiar with the system, and to let me pounce on one for him rather than wait for the new run. Although if my 5.1 comes in this week that will likely put him over the edge :D

He'll have to pry it out of your hands first!
