Who's gotten their 5.1 Starter?

Sent my new (to me) 4.1 in for a ferro notch & sharpening, and Ellie told me that they would send it back along with my 5.1 this week to save on shipping.
Is it bad to check my order status multiple times a day, even on weekends?
Waiting the few months from the presale has not been a big deal, but now that we're so close, the suspense is killing me!

BTW, Ellie answered my email within 24 hours. Better than a lot of "larger" companies out there. Thanks Ellie!
 
you guys are the worst! here I am, trying to pretend like I didn't jump on the last minute 5.1 presale so I can feign "surprise" when I get the shipping e-mail....but now, with everyone posting how excited they are...all i can think is:
 
Ha! ^ That's perfect. I'm the same way. I just hope it happens soon so that I can stay off the exchange. I've been trying to tide myself over buying other stuff. If I don't see a gso soon and Tinbanger drops that camp knife any farther, I'm going to be in trouble with Mrs. HK :eek:

ha! I have tried to take on a few crafting skills (mostly light leather work) to tide me over...not as satisfying. The one thing I think i will really regret though is not ordering a sagewood sheath ahead of time... I wanted to wait to see if I would really want on e for the 5.1 or not, and maybe i will stick with kydex, but if it comes in and I do...reset the wait game to 8 weeks!

By the way, do you guys receive a shipping notification or does the knife just appear suddenly? It seems like every time my email notification comes in, I was hopping I will see something from Survive!

I find myself leaving it at home or in the truck more often than not. I just don't use "big" knives, I love them but I just don't take them out with me. The camp knife is an awesome chopper, and because of the high grind it actually works great in the kitchen. It slices through food without breaking the food if that makes sense.

Makes sense to me, the camp knife looks very cool but with the blade length and belly its kinda bulky for small tasks and a little short for heavy chopping. Still a very nice looking knife though

Part of me wants to mud wrestle HK for the chance to buy that camp knife!
