And yes I still plan on using it. Its got green scales on it right now. My new one is coming with blaze. I am not sure how I feel about the green ones yet.
 
Since Riz is talking about handle scales, What did everyone choose and why? (I'm so fumbled on handle scales it's not even funny, Chiral's brown handle looks super sweet aesthetically, and there is a 5.1 with red linen that contrasts well with the bead-blast on sale currently. A 5.1 a few pages back had black canvas scales that also looked very nice.)
 
Hello kinohike. First post here, cool.

I went with camo canvas scales on all the orders that I got in on where there were free upgrades, since they usually cost a few bucks more. But I really like that natural canvas scale that is the brown one you referenced in chirals picture, too, and there's no upcharge for them or the black canvas.
 
Kinohike! I'd say to first decide on what material you need or at least prefer. That might narrow down your choices. My next order will involve natural canvas, it has really grown on me. I like the look of black with bare steel, so that is what my 4.7 will be... black canvas.

Where did you see a new 5.1 with red linen? I have red linen on a 5 and I like it dry, but love it when it is oiled.
