Phew, an interesting thread no doubt, although I personally could have done without the name-calling...
Actually, I think some of this discussion comes from poor choice of words (I admit I've only read this thread, so there might be more to it than this, someone mentioned talks in a private chatroom + other threads on the subject).
Kiem's words: "the deal gone sour" could certainly be interpreted in more than one way. Personally I just read it like "the deal didn't go through", I didn't automatically think any lesser of Chris as a knife-maker/dealer, nor Kiem as a buyer.
However, I can understand that others saw this way of putting it as an accusation againt Chris, in which case one would have to be much more specific about what happened. An accusation like that could hurt a knife-maker a lot, because many of his costumers read this forum. Therefore all the facts should be presented so that people would be able to judge by themselves. Also, the other party should have the opportunity to participate in such a discussion.
I guess my point is that writing on a forum you should choose your words carefully in order not to be misunderstood. Also, remember to respect others (also those, who do not share your opinions). Name-calling only degrades the value of your posts and removes focus from your point. I'm not talking about someone in particular here (although I personally think a few of the people contributing to this thread should pay attention here).

P.S. My hat goes off to Examonlyf who managed to keep his posts tidy, respectful and to the point even though he was attacked (no one likes a bali up his *ss
