Why is there sometimes snobbery against Cold Steel knives? They are great!

Cold Steel = beater knives. That's basically all they are worth for your money. Too bad they keep trying to pass it off as something more.
 
Jeez viper u are 37... 37 years to learn and find you are not always right man... u dont always have to be...sometimes otherbpeople know things too.

Not heavy batoning just enough to get through. Chop because M390 just works well on huge pieces of rope (I hate untying that stuff so i just cut it) and U can use the piece under the pivot to tap in nails. Ill see if i can get a good pic and add it in via edit.

Also I had some chipping at first because the angle was to small making some tiny rolls and chips. To accommodation my use I had to do 22.5 degrees per side (45degree is working well actually. I used to have at 28 total and i would recommend it unless you hard use)

I love my Para2, but I'd be afraid of breaking its thin tip off doing some really hard tasks like that.

Use the belly. I try not to use the Tip as much. If I pry I stick knife all the way in so it prys with the base all the way to the zip ties. I use tip for mainly cutting paper out of books and slicing. 100% of the knife is usable lol
 
Not bad, CK. Can you snap a pic of the edge?

I will in a second. I just sharpened it Monday and have EDCd my zaan tuesday and wednesday (today I just used it for tiramisu) Edge was horrid with low angle so i increased it in hopes of making it roll less

k I had a hard time focusing and getting a good pic. You can see some parts if you look closely were i couldnt fully sharpen out.

I got idea from umnumzaan. Holes so you can wash but it will remain lubed works well

To bring things around. For half the price of a medium espada u get m390 better construction more versatile better ergos and it doesn't look like u are tryin to kill ppl. Cold steel is not worth it
 
Where did you get an M390 PM2 for $35 (1/2 price G10 medium Espada) or $65 (1/2 price aluminum Espada). Hell, you can buy both at regular web price for the cost of the M390 PM2
 
Hey, CK, whatever happened to your blue PM2 scales? Was that you that I was talking to about them a couple months back?
