Why not Strider??

anythingsharp, a few points.

1. Greco makes an awesome inexpensive knife, no doubt, but using him to make your point is silly. He also makes higher priced blades, not just the Scagel stuff either, and some of his older work exceeds his current in price. The simple carbon stuff makes no sense either as John uses stainless plenty.

2. Kevin will probably accept precious metals as payment. Why not send him $10 worth of silver and post your economic theories where they belong?

3. Isn't this thread about Strider?
 

The intention of the OP was to discuss Strider Knives but as always the topic deviates.

I am aware when discussing Strider knives that the owners backgrounds always surface instantly. I know the two topics are inseparable but the more interesting topic is why many feel their knives are grossly overpriced.

That side of the discussion seems to never get answered because it gets overshadowed by the first side. I would love to know why many (at one time myself included) readily pays the price to buy a knife that is tough as nails but has the fit and finish of a brick.

Heck, there's a knifemaker by the name of John Greco who makes tough as nails folders and......................:D:D:p:p:D
