Why so much rudeness and anger in the Cantina?

in a thread about 9mm vs 45 acp, you can say anything you like.
in a thread about convexing a kobra, you can say anything you like.
when someone asks for smoke, you better be respectful or dont even open it at all.
How many of you would have expected your mother not to slap you if you started telling loud, dirty jokes at a relatives' funeral?

I wont abide disrespecting a smoke thread.
Call it an ultimatum if you will. I guess you finally get to see where my line in the sand is. I will defend the sacred.

(for the non ruminant husbandry savvy the bucket is a "Lambar" it has ten nipples sticking out all around and you fill it with milk and set it in a metal holder that is hooked to a tire rim filled with cement.)
 
I understand that, Danny. I can't see how it would've been any better though, to have had a seperate thread on the man with another point of view. We'd have the same, only worse. It came off OK. That's what i go with on this; it came off well.

No, I don't in general want to see smoke threads as open season. This, then is the exception that proves the rule.

Now that I know how you feel about smoke threads, I certainly will be respectful of any you introduce. (as I have been)

Smoke can be either incense or sage, as practiced by Buddhists, Hindus and NDNs. Although prayers from any faith are always welcome. I'm not exaclty sure how the smoke threads came about. I'm guessing it was because Uncle Bill was Buddhist. Oh, and Welcome.

Cantina has seen it's conflicts but we've all managed to get through them.

There are alot of personalities here, some strong, some aminable. Not to mention the political ones.

I don't ever think that any healthy social place should be without conflicts. It shakes things up and gets some things out in the open. things that can fester if held inside.

i'm sure UB would have something really short and simple to say. if i were to hazard a guess, it'd probably be along the lines of "what does this have to do with khukuries? Everything!"
 
Even if it is felt speaking ill of the dead doesn,t apply in this particular case .
Even if being disrespectful of a smoke request doesn,t apply .
Hijacking someone elses thread should apply .
It is certainly not a guideline that is enforced rigidly around here .
We all or most of us are guilty of it once in a while .
When the gentleman who hosts the thread objects
it would behoove the interested party to retire from the
thread or at least modify the behavior in question .

OK,

Well actualy I was defending the sacred. {All those WW2 veterans & women & children who were tortuted & murderd In Japan,China.Burma, Malaya, Phillipeans etc.} Thats the sacred.

My mother or actualy my father would be down on me fror telling dirty jokes at a funeral.

But he also expected me to stand up & be counted for truth & justice , anywhere.

Thats what I did.

So If some respectfull person cantinista fellow asked for smoke for Bin Laden, Adolf Hitler , Jack the ripper etc or some other murderer to fellow cantanistas, I would hope they would be good enough to mention there terrible past., & if they knew them to say why that persen had managed to gain there respect. {& personly I would hope it wasnt for instructing who to kill & mutilate.}

But each to there own. & if you wish to orchastrate a campaign publicaly & I understand privatly against me, thats your choice, & issue manipulative ultimatums, then so be it.

Perhaps if I was a wanted war crimminal you could forgive me?

As a point of information against the various points youve raised about me, {ignoring your obscenities.} If you check, you will see I was banned for a prolonged argument with Munk. In which Rusty decided I used an obscenity a step to far.. But I agree at that time having just watched cancer eat my father & loss of my partner etc. I wasnt a happy or tolerant soul.

Have you ever had a time when you were rude & bullish?....

I expect most of us have, But I have been polite & respectfull to evryone here since my return.

But as you see me as such a demon. Heres my photo for you to remember me as I realy am.

I want a goat, too. I'm sick of cutting the grass;). Also, can you train an attack goat? That'll keep those dang neighbor kids out of the yard:D

"Hey you durn kids! Get off my grass or I'll let ol' Rammy out of his cage!"

Also, can a goat breathe fire? That would be a big plus too.

Goats can be trained to lead sheep ("judas goats"), and I know some can knock a man off his feet...
