Why so much rudeness and anger in the Cantina?

hospitals rarely use lithium to stabilize mania - it takes too long - at least a few weeks

It could be worse; I see a lot of people being treated with narcotics where I'm at. It works...until the scrip runs out, anyway. Then they're not so nice to deal with.

I was going to ask how we went from questionable behavior to psychotropic medication but in retrospect, it makes perfect sense. In any event this thread has taken a turn for the better. Does this always happen when I'm gone for a day or two? :)

Yeah, sorry Dave. It's one of those "six degrees" things. I've looked into it, and you're like the opposite of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. As a matter of fact, once i get off work I'm going to head over to my mother's house and demand a retraction of blame for the lamp I broke when i was 7. I figure a good hard look of scorn while shaking a picture of you at her should shame her into giving in to the truth:D

Dave is the Not-Me ghost of the Family Circus cartoons (no that's too harsh and not funny). There is nothing funny about that syrup they pass off as a Sunday comic:barf: Now Get Fuzzy...that's funny.

What were we talking about again?

So Lithium is a drug, that normalises the hi`s & lows of life, abolishes depresion & therfore replaces the human need for the feeling of bieng loved or wanted, eating well, drinking good wine, having good sex & plenty of sleep?

It should sell well. ;)

Spiral?

It has allowed a "normal" life for folks whose lives were out of control.

One of the most creative people, if not THE most creative person I have ever met was able to contribute substantially to the wealth of the world once she got on and kept on the lithium regime.

Amazing though, when she was in the manic phase, she absolutely LIT UP the world she was in...changed the dynamic --in a positve way-- of every room she entered.

The depressive stage was scary.

Thanks Kismet, I was being slightly tounge in cheek.;)

I appreaciate your point though.

My comments relate in truth {perhaps}to simple depresion, {been there} True manic depresion is no laughing matter.

Nobody's more fun, sexy and intriguing than a manic manic-depresive. Nobody's more frustrating, exasperating, and frightening than a depressed manic-depressive. Don't ask me how I know this.

As long as I'm not being blamed for it, I won't ask any questions. (But it was probably my fault anyway.)

Only in the Cantina...

...would we get so lost in thread-drift that we keep bumping to the top a thread titled "Why so much rudenss and anger in the Cantina?"

As for me?

GUILTY AS CHARGED. :D

I seem to remember a thread a while back that UB started to test something or other where he asked us specifically not to post in it. IIRC, we bumped it to the second page before Rusty locked it.

Stuff like that makes me smile. :)

Well that just proves its all Daves & probably Kismets fault as well. {wow! its such a weight off my shoulders to blame someone else....}

As for Dave never trust a man who uses a German Razor.;)

Our threads never drift here.

You know that reminds me one time I was fishing in my dad's boat and the anchor line came untied and we started to drift. Well we didn't notice right away until we heard surf crashing behind us and just then....Oh, shoot, what were we talking about??;)
