Will there be a 2017 forum knife?

Thanks everyone for the kind comments! :o
I'm just a normal fool, risking the bank's money!
And I'm lucky to have a tolerant wife!!

I'm out this year. I certainly don't want to make any enemies here but I just don't approve of the business arrangement being made again this year. Have fun and enjoy your knives, I'm sure they'll be beauties.
Perhaps you would be so kind as to email me, Bill. You have no point of contact on BF.

I very much appreciate all the effort that you put into these, whatever the outcome I'm in. It will be my first barlow, I'm very excited!

Thanks,
Tony

if micarta is the choice material, does it have to be limited to one color/type? I know there are logistical challenges there. Just spitballing.

Well, another hurdle has been leapt! Kevin "Spark" has given his blessing to the Forum knife project.:)
To get newer members up to speed, Kevin owns Bladeforums, and it is with his permission that we put "BF" on the knife!
If you talk to him at OneStopKnifeShop*, give him a big thanks!!:thumbup:

*I am pretty sure he is a listed dealer!!:D

Looks like you could skip the poll because most everyone posting wants Micarta.. If that's the route we go my vote is for natural linen/bone micarta.

Thanks for everyone's efforts to make this happen

Awesome news! Here we go!

If you've been thinking about a paid membership to BF it'd be a nice way to say, thanks Kevin!

Still worth a poll, if there are going to be options at all. The few vocal posters may not reflect the wants of the majority.

Any knife, I'm in. Thanks for all the hard work that goes behind the scenes, so we can enjoy the fruits of that labor! :-)

I have no idea how the BF knives usually work, but this one sounds like it's on track to being pretty special!

They usually fold, and can be used to cut things. :D

Seriously though - when a final design and price are determined, a link will be posted where you can pre-order (paid in full in advance, including shipping). The knives usually ship in November or so.

My only concern now is that there be enough of these to go around. I suspect there may be a bunch of TC Barlow collectors who would want one of these who don't usually buy a forum knife, so demand may be unusually high.

A micarta sheepsfoot barlow works for me. Maybe even two.
But I'm a little disappointed that there won't be an antler-handled pocket light saber.

We have considered that, Rachel. We have been ordering 300-350 BF knives, but this time I will stick out my neck and order 500 - the largest order that GEC allows. Gulp!

well in that case I will be in for 2.
