WOO-HOO !!! My KITH Knife Arrived

The blade has a very nice belly and a beautiful handle that can not be justified in the pictures. The mosaic pins only made it better. the blade was SHARP and easily shaves hair. my hands are not small. I love big knives, but this knife just fits into your hand so well that the handle size does not matter. I am taking notes.

if it looks curved in the pics, it isn't. it is perfectly straight.

These are the first mosaic pins I have seen up close and personal, and they were really nice. I love the look.

Overall, I love the knife. I will look forward to using it around the house and seeing how the edge holds up.

ETA: any dark spots are a combination of the sun and my fingerprints from touching it all over. ;)

This knife appears to have some JonnyMac styling going on!
 
It does, but it is significantly better looking than anything that Johnnymac has every done ;);););););)

Just kidding. I can see what you are talking about, though.

WOW !!! Talk about lightning fast !!! I sent knife out Friday !!!! and we still have some friends waiting for Christmas cards we sent out last week and they're only 90miles away...:eek:Thanks for the kind words Steven, I'm a little embarrassed I wasn't able to put the time into the knife the kith deserves and I'm glad you liked it..

I received my knife yesterday and I'm very happy with it. It's a very nice knife that's going to come in very handy and see a lot of use. Thanks David (jasperdog)! I'll post some pics later this morning.
 
BooHoo I still don't have a knife yet:( I guess thats what I get for living on the wrong side of the border. If I am lucky it will get here in the next day or two, just in time for my birthday:p.
 
I got mine from Steve today. I'll get pics tonight or tomorrow but figured I'd confirm arrival in good shape, that was some serious packaging. :)
Nice wood and pin work, and he included a nice pouch.
 
Got my knife today !!!!! love the way if feels,its funny because I have a similar design handled knife sitting on the bench now :) but this one with scales is much better.. Its a chisel grind and very well executed. Thanks Remy but I'm sorry man but this blade is destined to get scratches on it.. :D

lol, if it doesn't get all scratched up I'd be disappointed, it's no exhibition knife. Just remember that it's 1080 not stainless, dry it off and oil or wax it. I swear, I rinsed that sheath out a million times, smoothed, rinsed, tapped.... maybe by this time next year it'll stop giving up flakes. :) Have fun with it.
 
Nice stuff!! Being the small fixed blade kind of guy I am, Remy's and Jason Magruder's knives both stand out big time. Great stuff everybody.
 
Remy, I think it was just me popping it in and out of the sheath while I was waiting to pick up my kids from school, made it flake.. then again I'm just assuming that's what it is, its not on there now, and I didn't see it until I posted the photo, so dunno really.. could be ash from a fallen meteor when I took outside to take the pic :)
 
Sorry if this is a stupid question or if its already been asked somewhere... but i cant find an answer. What is a ''KITH'' knife...? I see it all over the forums but i have no idea what it means.
 
A KITH knife is a Knife-in-the-Hat knife. everyone makes one and then they are given a name and they send it to someone else. It is a fun event.
 
It's not fun, it's mind-numbingly stressful!
First you have to get a knife done on time, then you have to wait and wait and wait, not knowing what you're going to get or when you're going to get it. I've worn a rut in the driveway from constantly running out to check the mail every time I hear a car drive by.

And if that's not bad enough, you also have the stress of sending a knife to ANOTHER KNIFEMAKER and hoping you can meet their expectations.

It's basically a gift exchange for the insane.
 
I received my knife! Chris Moss, you're the MAN. Love this blade.
