WOO-HOO !!! My KITH Knife Arrived

It's not fun, it's mind-numbingly stressful!
First you have to get a knife done on time, then you have to wait and wait and wait, not knowing what you're going to get or when you're going to get it. I've worn a rut in the driveway from constantly running out to check the mail every time I hear a car drive by.

And if that's not bad enough, you also have the stress of sending a knife to ANOTHER KNIFEMAKER and hoping you can meet their expectations.

It's basically a gift exchange for the insane.

Qouted for Truth, and to say I havent been able to stop showing the knife you made off, I can't say enough good things about it. I love this lil blade. I have litterally had it in my pocket since I got it.! Thanks again Jason!

WOW!!! Got mine this morning and couldn't be happier!! It's a good'un, Shawn, and well appreciated. The blade has a super clay coat hamon (that doesn't get picked up well in my photos), ebony bolsters and sheep horn handle. Good feel and well done. Had to show a picture of his sheath stamp, way cool too! Sure glad to have been part of this KITH. Merry Christmas to all!!

Jason, I'm glad you like it! How are you liking the pocket carry?

I really like it. this is my first experiance with kydex and g11. I'm constantly fiddling with it in my pocket. a bit offtopic but where did you get the fastners though, those things are neat!

Rick,I'm glad you like it-and relieved that you got it!...I was beginning to worry it wasn't going to get to you.

p.s. I hope you found the extras in the box...;)

Alright! It finally came. Bob the postman drove right up to the house to sign for the box from Jason Carter. Thanks man! Nice knife. I'm telling you I'm going to put it through the wringer. It's Aldo's W2 in a drop point with a nice hamon. The buffalo handle fits my hand really well Jason. Great job. Thanks and Merry Christmas to all you KITHers. LOL Hope the rest of you guys get your knives soon.

There is waiting for me, but I can't pick it up till after 5pm and I have to pay a $20 customs fee:confused: I can't think of anything else coming over the border other than the KITH knife, but how the heck do they charge customs fees on a gift?

Unki, this is not a tax so it doesn't matter that this is a gift and has no sale value. Probably was shipped by a private courier cause there is usually no fee when shipped via USPS.

Same here.

Not me. I'm waiting on my mail carrier when she pulls up. And if she isn't handing me a package big enough to hold a knife, I'm looking past her into the back of her jeep and asking IF SHE'S SURE ONE OF THOSE OTHER PACKAGES BACK THERE ARE NOT MINE and asking her if she could just check one more time...just to be sure :) ...it could just be me, but I'm beginning to get the feeling she dreads pulling up to my house... ;)

Well I got my KITH knife a beautiful fighter from Rob Loveday, my camera isn't connecting to my computer right now so pictures will have to wait till I get that figured out:confused:

Patrice what I was charged is $13.26 GST/HST and an $8.50 handling fee from customs, but reading the Canadian Border Services web site it looks like they can charge taxes on anything over $60. I am still going to call them tomorrow and try get the full story from some one there instead of what I comprehend:o I will give them the handling fee even if all they did was pas the box from one pile to another it was handled by them.

Now being one to try and look at the bright side of things as often as I can, I can say that I got one sweet custom knife for the grand total of $21.76 Canadian, and it arrived on my birthday:D

OK I have to figure out whats up with my camera, and why one of my hard drives isn't reading.

Got my knife from Matt Brook today.
It was worth the wait from Australia.
Thank you so much. It is one great knife, and D-2 is my favorite.
I love it.

Thanks again
