Worst Accidental Cut?

Well Who ever said cheap knives dont come sharp hasnt owned a BM Mini Ambush.
Im not telling you guys how (trust me it was my fault and very stupid) but i managed to sink that half serrated bugger to the bone of my left pointer finger.
So now i have a fatter finger a scar and a stupid story lol.

After reading what others have been through I guess my experience isn't all that exciting. I got a fairly nasty cut while sharpening my machete. Still have the scar.

Holding a Strider fixed bladed about waist high while in bare feet. Said Strider falling and landing blade down upon top of big toe. 4 stitiches inside, seven stitches outside...................freaking ouch!!!!

The only bad ones I have had from knives come from when I can a kid. Nerve damage, stitches, butterfly bandages etc. I'm not so dumb anymore.

About two weeks ago I did touch my arm to a 9" angle grinder though, and an uninsulated steam line, and burned the sh!t out of myself doing some stainless vertical overhead stick welding, and then caught about an ounce of molten steel with my wrist. I was running a crew (read not working with tools) and got more beat up than ever.

Ugh welding burns. Was welding a tire holder on the bottom of a trailer and had a piece burn through the top of my boot and sit on my foot. No point even trying to get the boot off at that point.

I've don't the laying the knife down the putting hand down on it thing more than I can count. Knock on wood never needed stitches bad enough to go get them.

I actually intended to write something about my accidents, but after readidng some of the posts on this 4 pages - whoa!
I have cut myself badly couple of times. I was still a boy then, probably 10 or 12 years old. Did not have anything worth mentioning since. I think I should be proud of. No drinking and playing...

I changed my fingerprint on my left thumb with a very sharp kitchen knife, didnt hurt but it bled haha, 3 stiches, can i email someone to post a pic?

The worst cut I ever got wasn't from a knife or other edged object, it was from the trunk liner in a 1980 Ford Grenada. We were packing up heading home from Grandma's house and I ran my hand around the edge of the trunk rim. My left pointer finger tip got under the rubber seal and I just about sliced the entire pad clean off. It was hanging by a flap. They took me to a doc-in-the-box and he made me soak it in a bowl of iodine. That hurt. He didn't stitch it up (moron) and so now I have an extra padded pad!

Another time, I cut my thumb in half down through the nail with a bow saw. I was a dumb kid and had my off-hand underneath the limb I was trimming. That one sure bled a lot but healed up nicely.

My dad has an 8" scar that wraps around his forearm from wrist to elbow. When he was real young, he put his hand on the kitchen counter (way above his head) and a very large and very sharp chef's knife came down on him. The scar is really clear so it must have been bad.

On Tuesday I cut the tip of my trigger finger almost off. Five hours and five stitches later they tell me I should be able to save the tip. At least I get a few day off work. :D

i was 6 years old cutting through a greenbean and the edge was facing down so as soon as i made it through the greenbean i sliced my left index finger open almost to the bone and grazed the tendon 7 stitches 8 years later its still hard to move sometimes

Worst accidental cut that was my fault?
Broke the lock on a folder and it closed on my pinky finger (while cutting in the reverse grip) when I was bout' 7 or 8.
Worst accidental cut that was someone else's fault?
My cousin tried to do an aerial with a balisong and stuck it into my foot.
Worst accidental cut inflicted on someone else?
Cut open my brothers hand when he tried to grab a knife from my hand (only one that got stiches)

long time ago, skinning a muskrat
knife hung up on sinew, then broke thru, 'bout took the tip of my finger off (left hand, middle finger) V shaped, 3/4" to 1" on a side
like whittling a stick
was in the bush, so no medical care, just cleaned it up, and taped it closed
healed up well, just no feeling around the cut...

Glad I'm not alone in this.
The one that bit me(and rightfully so) was mySY Yard Hook.I was trying to shove it downward (with my left hand)into the cutoff top of a sapling to get a pic with the mountains in the back ground.
Stupid me was holding the sapling with my right hand.
The hook took a slice out of the sapling & continued on into my knuckle.
Went down to the bone & bled like crazy.
I patched it up as best I could with my left hand & found a better rest for the hook .
The first two fingers & hand behind them to the wrist swelled, but went down after a couple of days.
Luckly my tetnus shot was up to date.
Thats my stupid story. :o :D

sliced my left index finger open at the first knuckle with a CS Kobun: permanent numbness and a neat scar. Sliced the webbing between my right ring and middle finger while trying to "juggle" my ka-bar usmc (kraton, plain edge): another neat scar. Opened my forearm from wrist to elbow with a Schrade guthook skinner when i tripped while skinning a goat. that one was goat-karma, i suppose.

-Split my leg open about 2 inches below the left knee. Golf-ball-sized hole with a chunk taken out of my tibia bone.
Received deep-threaded stitch and 14 surface stitches.
Healed area is now uncomfortably numb, and I'm mad that I never thought to take some pics.
Sure doesn't help justify my knife obsession with the girlfriend.

My wife's grandfather cut one of his fingers clean off and some of the one next to it with a table saw. He's 80 now though, and still going strong so it didn't slow him down too much.
