Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Yeah right, you're a bodybuilder. And I shot and killed Edwood7 in a drug bust.
lol no I dont compete..i go to the site for training and nutrition info. so new guy are you just an e-tough guy or do you walk the walk in real life...pm me if you have a problem with me

These statements all seem very trollish....

Seems also that you knew going into this thread that you would make some enemies, so you can't be that surprised.
my post was just to get people thinking...and as far a talking about myself, it was meant as a "if i can do it anybody can " remark. and truth be told I am extremly proud of my transformation, but I still have a ways to go...so no not bragging, just happy not to be carrying an extra 50lbs around everywhere I go. haters gotta hate though

For the record; This was your response to a valid reason to carry some extra body fat.
Yea whatever you need to tell yourself... I knew someone would pull that one out. excuses excuses...next

This prompted my question that you interpreted as "calling names". I had no intent of personal attacks. As you later stated "you don't know me", yet you give an apology and in the same breath blame me starting it.

Life is full of choices. We can chose whether or not to eat healthy, to exercise, and we also choose how we act to one another...I hope you don't misunderstand what I'm saying.

slapper

I do have a problem with you, and I'm gonna say it right here where everyone can read it.

You're being a colossal d-bag and then getting butthurt when people get pissed off at you. So you're pathetic and you make me sad.

And where was I trying to be tough? I was mocking you.

And since when was I trying to be tough? I was making fun of you.
really new guy, get off my ass.

We had a thread awhile back (not sure how long) that talked about how Moose and Guyon were having a weight loss competition for Blade Show. That got several of us interested in getting a little more healthy, and there were several of us that participated. I think that because of that thread I lost somewhere around 15-20 lbs. I gained some back due to laziness, but not too long ago I tried to get back on track, and have since lost some more weight. I ain't skinny, and I know for a fact I could stand to lose some more weight, but I am doing better than I was, and I am in the process of losing more.

What did it for me was just watching how much I eat. Cutting down on portion size alone was hugely responsible for most of the weight loss I have managed to achieve.

Then stop giving me reasons to be on it.

Edit to add: Also, are you trying to diminish what I'm saying my calling me "new guy"? Because I really don't think that's gonna work.
do you actually want to keep this going dude? get over it move on.

Thanks for not bitting my head off derek...this is really the thought I was trying to envoke...not personal attacks.

Great post. I try to do some resistance training twice a week and cardio three days a week. I'd still like to drop 25 pounds. Lately I've been really lazy about eating right and I need to break that cycle!

Then you might want to be a little more careful with your word choice.

A more successful way to have provided this thread would be to start off by mentioning that you successfully managed to lose a bunch of weight, and you feel like it's really helped your ability to use your survival skills. Rather than saying that you're going to make enemies because you're bored and then calling 90% of this forum fat, and asking what their excuses are. If you want to avoid personal attacks, don't start the thread out with them. A little forethought and consideration for how other people might take your thread BEFORE you hit the post button goes a long way.

So that we can get this on the track that evidently you wanted it to go, perhaps we can share some of our favorite workout tips and perhaps talk about how they might relate to survival skills.

Here's mine: When you bench press (or do any exercise for the upper body, really), try flexing your traps and back, which will pull your shoulders up and back. Then, instead of lowering the bench bar to over your nipples, as conventional wisdom would have you do, bench higher up, just under your throat. That will build your pecs up higher, and your pecs will build over your collarbone, and mesh with your traps and delts, which provides more protection for your shoulder joints. This will reduce your chances of injury and increase your power, which I think would probably be important in a survival situation.

What's generally hardest for me: Getting up the motivation to go and hit the gym in the first place.

Ooops, I meant to add more. As far as whether or not I would actually survive, I would like to think I would do alright. Having the right tools for the job would definitely help though, and with my trusty BK2 I feel confident I would manage to do decently. With some added tools I think everything would be much easier. Those other tools would include many more Becker knives.

GO BUY MORE BECKER KNIVES!

Less talk of trolling, and more ignoring responses you don't like, and the thread can interesting instead of irritating.
