"Yeller" Handles

Here are a few more. Schrade, Camillus, one each Case, Northfield, Schlieper. One or two of the Schrades may be 1985 Camillus made.

What a bunch of beauties.

Not only that, he's got one of the covetted fishin knives with the hook sharpener on the handle.

They were THE hot lick thing when I was a kid.

Heres a yeller one I forgot all about. I got it about 5 years ago at the big Eugene show from the Camillus rep. It measures a whopping 3 1/4 inches.....
The spring is soft enough that I can pinch it open. It is a nicely made little knife..
Sorry about the pic. The wifes daughter still has our camera, so I had to borrow my sons :D

Another nice Yello-Jaket on view there:thumbup:

Got the same knife myself and one of the few examples of a knife with blade etches that I like. Small and useful I reckon.

Thanks .
I've got another one laying around here somewhere, that has yellow and reddish orange coloring on the scales. Can't remember if it had the markings on the blade or not. I'll have to look for it. Its probably in one of my drawers

Here is a wonderful folding Toothpick Yellow fish knife from 1976 that Camillus produced that I just found in my stash..

In the 1960's and 1970's they're were finely crafted metal sculptures made by a few good fellows as metal sculpturing was an art that few could master.. And then their was Sid Bell. He was at the top of the heap an the cats meow back then. Camillus commissioned him for the 'rare' miniature Pewter carved sculptures embedded in the clear acrylic badges made only on the 'Camillus American Wildlife' series of knives produced by them in the 1970's..

Wow! Beautifully done! I'll wager there's not too many of these knives floating about for purchase..

I like this thread so much...I pulled the trigger on a Banana Yellow GEC Pioneer pattern. Pics when it arrives.

My first fixed blade knife, which I received at age 8, was a 6.5" Case with yellow handle. Boy that was many years and many knives ago.

Yesterday my brother called and said he was sending me a knife for Christmas. Since I know exactly which knife he carries and has bought for his sons I said "This wouldn't be a large Case Trapper CV with yellow handle would it?" Of course it is. I am delighted.

And so you should be, great gift, great knife and sounds like a pretty good brother too.
