Does anyone recall what knife brand was known for yellow handles back before say 1970?
Must be Camillus.I'd say Case or Camillus.
It's certainly a good knife.
I like everything about that knife, especially the back story. Very cool! This Camillus made Buck I believe it to be a 'missionary knife'. I'm not sure of all the details and circumstances surrounding 'missionary knives'. something was amiss and Buck took the knives, ground off the most of the identifying markings(so they could not be easily resold) and sent/gave them to missionaries to help with their programs. It's an interesting yellow knife.

Love that little knife, one of my daily rotations.Funny - I've always been a fan of the interesting Corelon "swirly" acrylic sided Case's, but never got into the plain yellow. Hey, it's all good - plain yellow just seems kinda bland to me ... I only have one, the 62087 pen knife (like the blades on opposite ends - makes it nice and slim) --->
