Yellow Handled Knives

Good idea.

I had a case beer trapper in amber bone. It was nice and I enjoyed it. I gave it to a friend, long story, but he's tickled with it.
I replaced it with a yellow delrin beer trapper. It just seems more substantial in the yellow. The amber bone seemed small, as a mini trapper sized is supposed to be. The yellow version 'feels' larger. I just can't articulate it but I just like my new yellow beer trapper more than the amber bone for that reason.

What is that Rough Rider barlow? Not seen one like it. Looks like a Daddy barlow, lockback with gun checkered scales.

Rich Far from Daddy Barlow in fact it's a small one at just under 3" closed. Nice lock back too and it comes in their armour Hide Bone which is deep and very textured- supposed to be like a Samurai's armour I think. The small non locking RR Barlows are just as good, still a credible knife despite the small size. No Yellow ones though....

Alas, most all locking and small barlows (and other RR barlow scales) are discontinued :(

I never liked the yellow handles. Always seemed pale looking. Certain types of yellowed bone do attract to me a little more. I think it’s the natural look, feel, and texture. Not sure why I’m that way but my brother loves his medium stockman in CV with yellow handles, and is looking for a Cub Scout knife in good condition because he likes the blue covers(can’t talk him just buying a scout knife and putting new handles on it) I guess I’m more of a wood or bone cover type of guy, never been interested in other colors like blue or green either. Looking at some of the stock photos on line of Case knives with delrin handles, they seem like melted Crayons. But That’s just me.

IMG_1870.JPG Here's my yellow trapper that I received in a giveaway, right here on BF, quite some time ago. It came to me in near new condition. As you can see, it's been carried and used quite a bit and has lost some of its luster. To me, it's aged beautifully! This particular knife brought me a newly found appreciation for yellow Delrin, as well as the Trapper pattern. -Lance

I believe that is the very last Case branded knife I have purchased and that was a couple of years ago.
