Yep, another pistol

I don't know whether to hate you or admire you..okay, a little of the former and a lot of the latter! That is really sweet, can't wait to see the finished product!

Looks great, Bruce. This thread is like the New Yankee Workshop, cut it out, then all of a sudden it is perfect :D

I was trying to think of a name, I cant think of any at the moment, though.

Wow, it is just outstanding. Mr. Bump I think you should charge us some money for just looking these pieces :D

Man oh man Bruce

I hate to be redundant .... I've seen 3 "wows" already.
Thats the first word that came to my mind when I clicked on your thread. All I can say is ...... wow, wow, wow & WOW

Beautiful Work !!!

And fwiw, Jason did indeed come up with some great names

Le Beau Tueur , The Beautiful Killer........ is quite fitting imho

Just have a quick question Bruce-
With the blade being a slipjoint, when the gun recoils back & upwards will the blade close on your fingers? Maybe this one doesn't have enough kick to do that, but I'd be mighty concerned about it on a bigger one... How many times have you fired it?

Beautifiul! How about calling it the Lafayette? Has a better ring than the Sarkozy.

I hope not. I've never shot it with the blade bolted on it but I really doubt that will happen because it has a good strong blade spring. Its only a 36 cal and doesnt kick up in the air

Hey Bruce-
On a completely unrelated topic, I was just looking at the pictures again & noticed the pivot screw for the blade does not appear to extend all the way through to the other bolster. Tell me about that. How is the pivot screw retained? Is it threaded directly into a blind hole in the far bolster? Or is there a hidden nut in there somewhere? How do you keep it from coming loose? Is there a set screw coming in from the side (not visible in the pics) or something? Are you using loc tite or similar to keep it in place? Am I correct in assuming you're already making your own bolts/screws on your lathe?

I ask because a couple years ago I think I may have come up with a potentially new idea for retaining pivot screws that just might work splendidly for this application.

some hinting at how it's different

It may be old and over used, but
"Femme Fatale" conjours up images of
beauty and danger

Am I the only one hoping for a camera crew to do a documentary at Mr. Bump's shop?

Show the entire process from drawing to final masterpiece.

Seriously, I'd be glued to such a series :D

Fine work yet again Mr. Bump, thank you for sharing!
