Yes but I think it says a lot about him and who he is as a person... General attitude and just how he treats people. I don't think he tried to sell me a fake Hinderer, I think he sold me a knife that doesn't exist. Go back to the hard evidence of the package weight. That is something I cannot just make up! If you ever shipped a package via usps, ups, fedex, ect... there scales are dead on and too the oz. or tenth of a pound. The package I received in my door weighs what the weight on the label says, just over 1 oz. with the rolled up piece of bubble envelope inside... So how could there have ever been a knife in the package at all? Makes no sense...

If the package says .1 pound no knife was inside the package when shipped, period.

If you think the Clerk did it contact the Police ASAP

Now, put yourself in the shoes of the buyer.........you will quickly understand why he did what he did, why he reacted the way he reacted.

I bought a ZT 0770 aluminum a while back, the shipping weight according to the USPS was 8 ounces. I know the item doesn't weigh that much, but the packaging, box, tape, everything else combined does. An empty envelope probably weighs .1 lbs.

I was just pointing out the fact that the thread was two years old. Many come here to ask about fakes for one reason or another but that doesn't make them a scammer.

What doesn't look good for him is the lack of showing his receipt from FedEx or the fact of the envelope had such little weight on it.

His 'answers' to this issue and the recent lack of them, don't look too good either....

Honest people stand up and fix these issues.

I stated earlier, there are 3 options:

Prove the OP is at fault.

Refund him and get your money back through the insurance you should have bought.

Didn't buy insurance? eat it.

What is with all of these irrelevant side issues people seem to be bringing up? Fake XM-24 - I am no expert but unless someone can point out exact details in the sale thread photos that is just conjecture. Different names means nothing - I have had plenty of deals with honest members using their sibling or significant other's account. No residence at the return address - plenty of people ship out from the office. Asking for "net Paypal to me" does not mean gift - it means gift OR plus fees. Even the insurance is not that important, seller promised it in his sale. Whether he got it or not, the loss is on him.

Either yerscattergun voluntarily refunds the money or Fordsnstuff gets it back via PP resolution - I am not too concerned that Ford will be made whole. With the damning evidence of the weight on the shipping label, this should be straightforward for the PP claim. Good luck to the buyer sorting this out. Otherwise, yerscattergun has some explaining to do or he should walk the plank.

I have shipped with most carriers out there. Shipping weight is a must in order to print a label. I used to have my own ups and FedEx printer and scale setup at my work where I would package and process and print labels for hundreds of items a day and the carrier would pick them up in the evening. It's the same system used in the stores les the register. You cannot process a shipping label without key information and the package weight is one of them. So no fault of the fedex girl. She could not have printed a label without putting it on scale and getting the weight.

If the guy had insurance as stated he wouldn't be complaining about losing his money. And when you insure higher ticket items they generally ask you what it is so the weight will match them item. If you tell them it's a .1 ounce knife valued at 550 they will know something is up. This isn't fedexs first rodeo, they have dealt with fraud before and take precautions to prevent it.

I don't believe having insurance would have helped the seller at all. The first thing they would have said is that an empty package was shipped since the weight is correct for an empty package. Secondly they would say it was improperly packaged therefore they are not responsible. I have over packaged and been turned down with a reason of improper packaging when an item showed up to a buyer damaged only to win my claim months later when I showed them that the item would have to have been dropped from over 5' off the ground. Than they only paid most of it and not the amount I insured it for or what I was into it.

Insurance by the seller would have solved the whole problem! Why on earth would you ship such a valuable knife without it?

I have followed this and I am appalled by the sellers attitude. Please ban this guy so we in the forum will have one less thief preying on the honest.

yerscattergun owes the Buyer a Full Refund or the Knife as promised. It didn't arrive for whatever reason, the shipping method was inferior for the item shipped, There's no actual proof it was shipped, it wasn't insured and the Seller didn't do proper Due Diligence when shipping it if he's to be believed.

You the Seller were responsible for delivering the knife, it's obvious you didn't take that responsibility seriously and now it will cost you money.

Closed until the actual parties involved have something to add.

I sent yerscattergun a PM and he replied. He states he is in contact with FedEx. That is all at this time.

I guess being "reopened" means that he didn't get his money back?

Well who'd a thunk it?

Probably has personal problems. House burned down? Tornado? Cat sick?

I guess we'll have to wait for one of the two parties involved for an update. Hence why I asked only for them to reply.

Relax, you have nothing to add here but a witty comment that clearly is neither necessary nor helpful.

Revdevil

He misunderstood and thought since it was open that it was open for everyone to comment on.
