Yet Another 1,000 Post Giveaway

I've learned how very addicting knives can become.

Congrats and thanks for the opportunity.

Thanks for the opportunity.

I discovered knives like the Para-Military 2 (my new favorite) and high end steels that I'd never heard of before like ZDP-189 & M390.

Thanks for the chance.

The things I've learned from BF would be too long to list.

The thing I've learned from using BF is to think, re-read, and edit before hitting the post button.

I'm in!
I've learned to never give a knife to someone that doesn't know how to properly use one.

Thank you sir. That is mighty kind of you.

I've learned alot about what makes a good and trusty knife. I used to accept some amount of blade play. Now, I am like a blade play nazi.

Thank you for the opportunity to win a fine EDC knife.

What I learned- It's ok to drink and post, heck its down right fun sip a little and browse all things knife related. Just don't drink TOO MUCH and post. That can get you in trouble.

Oh yea.. I also learned a whole lot about knives

When I first joined it opened my eyes to the differences between Carbon and Stainless Steel. That and I should have just given Mike Perrin and Jeff Randall my pin number, it would have saved time.

Thanks for the chance.

When I first joined I was so wet behind the ears...I remember thinking Benchmade was the epitome of excellent knifemaking. A lot of education about steel quality, heat treatments, grinds, overall materials used, and a LOT of $$$$ spent have made me a much more intelligent consumer. I'm in, congrats on 1000 posts! Thank you bladeforums!

ummmm, more than i could ever remember? seriously though, every steel has its place , from 8cr13mov to CPM REX 121. some are cheaper than others, and some work better. it is all in what you are comfortable with.

I've learned that knife makers are very generous people, willing to help us less experienced ones out by sharing their knowledge and experience.

In. Thank you for the opportunity.

I've learned a little about Barlow and a lot about wayne Wittaker.

What I've learned from BF is that there are LOTS and LOTS of different knife companies. On top of that, the usual stuff when you enter a new hobby. The only two steels I knew were "stainless" and "carbon". Well, was I wrong on that one.... I never could've guessed all the different varieties.
I also usually carried a knife when I was hiking or going on a holiday, but I never carried it around in every day life. Now I do and it's very usefull indeed. There have been many different occasions where I was able to present my knife as a helpful tool and people were always grateful.

Thank's for the initiative and congratulations!

Count me in!

Something I have learned from bladeforums is that I really can spend money I dont have.
Liu Kang has some iffy morals (this is valuable to me cause I was considering a purchase through him).
When you think your done buying someone else posts something for sale that catches your eye!

Thanks for the chance and hitting 1k!

I was an Idiot in thinking Spyderco knives were butt ugly... then I found BF.

thanks for the op! I've learned on here that it is easy to find good help, just talk to guys on BF!

Thanks for putting up the Skyline!

Lesson learned: Budget knives, like the Skyline, are nothing to laugh at. They may not have super steels, but for those of us with not much cash to spend, they look beautiful and perform just as beautifully.

Stemming from this, advice given: When someone asks for budget knife recommendations, please suggest a budget knife first before suggesting they stretch their budget. There are good knives to be had for $35 or less, so answer the question first, then modify the question parameters.

Thanks.

I learned about SRM, Bee, Enlan here. Never knew there were Chinese companies making good stuff under their own names.
