Usually when someone scams someone here, all the pertinent facts are known right up front. That has not happened here. The story about refusing delivery and putting another address on the parcel is a bit over the top.

I will stick with the old saw in research; Incredible claims require incredible proof . While the OP may have been scammed, he does not seem anxious to disclose the facts

Oh and to clear something up. I WILL NEVER NAME DROP OR RUN SOMEONES NAME INTO THE GROUND UNLESS I AM 110% THEY DID WRONG! Just because I am pist does not mean i should just go and public accuse someone unless I know ALL the facts!!

After calling the USPS and an hour on the phone. I opened a case in concerns to my package. Info I received was.....Due to the refusal of the package and that it was returned to the local post office from a home delivery it must go through the main midwest regional sort facility. In that region it goes to Aurora,Co. It now will sit there for several days so it can be inspected and then reshipped to the original sort facility. I should get a letter/notice in the mail. I will have to go to the local sort facility here in San Diego with I.D. that has my current address on it that matches the one on the package. I should receive a phone call within 1-2 week days (Friday or Monday) concerning the open case. The refusal was the cause for it to go to Colorado. If the package would have just been reshipped I would of had it today or tomorrow. They did put me at ease when they told me that they can not accept a refused package if it appears to have been tampered with or the original label has been altered.

Moral of the story is this....Tell the person you changed your mind on the trade and then RELABLE AND RESHIP, start over from scratch! A refusal of a package left at your door and returned to your local post office will result in a nightmare.

That being said, I should be getting the package back by sometime late next week, fingers crossed!

While I understand your frustrations and agree that the other trader in question should have relabeled and reshipped, I'm confused how we went from "he stole my knife and sold/traded to someone else on BF, thanks for nothing blade forums" to "the knife is headed back after all".

The former seemed like a very specific and detailed allegation... or assumption.

You need to read what you are commenting on... I sent. HE didn't send his, He refused the package and didn't resend it. HE REFUSED IT. Which then made it get sent 1/2 way across the country from me. It will be late next week that i MAY get the package back, And if I even get the knife back is unknown. Instead of getting his part of the trade a bunch of chaos that means it will be 6-7 more days than when I was suppose to get my stuff. One weak. And ask him to refund the shipping??? WTF are you talking about.. You need to read before you post..

When I went to my local post office they said it should have returned the same way it shipped. The guy at the 92104 post office told me that if it went to Colorado that he must of changed the address and that I must of been scammed.

And when it comes to the don't trust, Don't trade. I no longer trust the trade on here so I will no longer trade on here. I never have had a problem on the other forum.

WOW..there are some haters in here....
Report on a poor trader and my bad run around and possible lose of an item and because of it , I AM THE BAD GUY.
I told you all what happened and what to watch out for and advice on how things got bad and only thing people have to do is talk shit. Well when some guy makes your life hell I hope all you do up on him also.
The trader turns out to not be a blatant thief, so that's good.
But the way he went about it caused nothing but grief and run around that would not of happened if done another way, that I reported on after talking with USPS.

What could of been done to prevent what happened to me.

1. if you don't trust people on trades, don't trade. (so I will no longer do so)
2. If you change your mind on a trade after they ship. Contact them and inform them of your change of heart. (The person i shipped to did not do)
3. Reship with a new shipping label, A refusal will cause the package to go to the main regional hub that can add many days in delays. It will also mean the person will have to pick it up from your main sorting area with I.D. that must match the address that it is returning to.(the person i shipped to refused)
4. Make sure as soon as things go sour ----> file a case with the USPS over the package BY PHONE, Local offices are worthless.(They are clerks and its not their department)
5.When you go days without info, poor information from your local post office and No idea what is going on DONT GET PIST (In which I did, but who wouldn't)

Less ranting and more leaving. You found out you'll get your stuff back (as always happens with a refusal) and that you completely overreacted so just let it drop; there's nothing to be gained by continuing this.
