You know what would be awesome? A BladeForums Special Edition Becker BK16.

I would also prefer any etchings to be small and for the blade to be uncoated. Any of the steels listed so far would be great.

Oh, I want to second the comment about no giant, laser etching. No giant, laser etching, please.

No problem for me. I'll just take them into a lab, turn on the big laser ... and take care of that little problem, myself.

What kind of timeframe are we talking about here?

And are we talking the Saber ground FPR style, or the FFG mass production style 16?

I'm just wondering how many months I'll have to go without food to save up :p.

Nothing says we can't do D2, I just suggested S30V / S35V

Whole point of this thread was to gauge interest in a special run

D2 is good - easy to sharpen and good edge holding. Good idea.

best

I wonder how many it would take for Ka Bar to be interested in a special run? 1000?
I'd have to get 2 of them. I'd pay a little extra to get my BH number on it.

Per the database, only 150 BK77's were made by Kabar.....

200+ Beckerheads right now, probably more by the time it came to fruition. I dunno, hard to tell. A different steel might attract some people who aren't normally interested in Beckers. Not to say that's the goal, but would account for some sales.
