guyon that kettle is awesome.. I'm very interested to see how long it will take you to boil water.... I have tried to modify my hobos to boil under 5 minutes, no go.. but from what I've seen the emberlit do it in what 2 mins..?

Soo I'm thinking a maxi falcon II or a bk9 with the next pay check. What are your inputs?

I have the Maxped Pygmy Falcon II. I really like it.
However it's a bit small for an overnighter. It's a day pack for sure.
If I could do it all over again, I'd get the full size Falcon II.
I really like the Maxped quality though.

Why'd you have to put the bag up against the Niner?!
Decisions, decisions...
Ummmm...get both!

Wildcat , the Talon looks like skateboard tape. Might give it a try. What ammo do you like in your Kahr? I have about 200 rounds of 115gr Winchester white box through mine and use Speer 124 gr Gold dot for carry.

It has eaten everything I've fed it. It mostly gets my 115gr fmj handloads. Don't think I've ran any factory fmj ammo through it. For defense ammo I tried the Hornady Critical Defense first and ended up having some failure to fires which ended up being primers not fully seated at the factory, so I quit using those. It has been very happy with Federal HST 124gr+P and thats what I keep it loaded with unless I'm at the range. I shot a couple rounds into a deer that I had killed with my rifle a few years ago and was really happy with the expansion on the HST's too.

I'm not sure if the Talon grips are actually skateboard tape or not. They aren't really gritty, more rubbery. They were only like $12, so I ordered them. They were cut to fit perfectly and feel really good.

ETA: Keep it oiled with something that stays in place like FP10. When I'm carrying it I make sure I oil the slide weekly. They don't like to run dry. It was something I was glad to find on a range trip and not if I ever needed it. I suppose a guy should really keep anything he is going to carry properly lubed at all times tho, so I would lube anything I'm going to carry weekly now.

Get a Glock and you won't have to worry...

I must of kicked up a hornets nest while playing with the M-18.

It must be that time of year. My search and rescue group was outside of Boston a couple of weekends ago working a cold case and three of the dog teams got swarmed in different sectors. One of the women went (screaming like a little girl) running down the trail shedding pretty much everything she had -- pack, hat, etc. -- until she was down to her jogging bra. Modesty takes a back seat to pain and panic.
The suckers got INTO her tactical boots and she got six bites on her ankle. The dogs, of course, thought it was great entertainment.

Yep, we had fun yesterday....and Yuengling's!

Here's the group shot of yesterday. At this moment I was feeling numb from the bee stings, or it may of been the luenglings. However I never remember a beer buzz being painfull. From the left. Myself, Diesel D, and Murph. Its a good thing I make up for the other two ugly mugs huh!
