Your best and your favorite fixed blades....

Big- Busse FSH, small- Dozier Gentleman's knife, medium- Fehrman PM or Bark River NorthStar

first off , i have to laugh every time someone mentions rust. what do you think knives are made of .......re-cycled license plates of course.
God protect this steel blade from all tarnish and holy rust!^%$#@$@
i pack a Frosts Mora clipper everyday , oh and i am sorry it is made of CARBON STEEL:D so take me out and shoot me.:foot:
oh wait a minute , the handle is plastic, it won't rust.................

My personal favorite fixed blade is my USMC Ka-Bar, I find it to be and stay quite sharp whenever I am using it, it also works in many useful ways, as a food preparer, chopping down small trees and shrubs, gathering firewood etc. My Favorite fixed blade is honestly my Gerber LMF-II Infantry. I have found the coating scratches quite easily, but I just tape the edge and give it a quick spray with some rustoleum ultra flat black paint and it works well. I just find this knife as a good looking knife in the same form of an engine being beautiful as function is beauty to me. It has also served me well and without complaint.

My 2 favorites are my Phil Wilson custom Silver Peak drop point in 10V and my Fallkniven TK1 in 3G. Absolute cutting and slicing heaven! My Bark River custom drop point in A2 is a very close 2nd.

Yes, that one!:D

It is such a pleasure to use!;)

Let me guess.... you know him too?

I'm getting to know him.
I'm getting closer to having a Tanguay knife at my side as well when out hunting or camping. I'm not so much for the MSC style and I have a BM210 for the small stuff.
Trying to decide on an alternative to my Buck 102/802. Something to keep it company in the gun cabinet when not in use. ;)

How about this one.....

The Drop Point utility on his site. With a full flat grind that would be great for around camp...

An under-rated one for sure. I gifted one a year ago and I think it's one of the better knives out there!

One common thing about knives is that everyone is allowed to have their favorite. Knives are individual items. Personally, I have a stack of favorites.

When I put this Charles May model in my hand, I had to have it. It is his Big Woods model. It was one of those that just hit the mark. I didn't care about the cost or wait time, I had to have it.

Jack Jones and I talked about chute knives and the Loveless influnce. He made this one from original Loveless drawings. Classic designs are one of the fun things about knife collecting.

This big ole Charles May camp knife was a true find. I lucked into it and like to bragg about having the biggest knife he has made. A good find makes a knife special to the owner.

Would you pay $68.99 for a D2 Ka-Bar? I did. Hard not to like it.

I have owned several favorites and next week I might have a new favorite.
This has been a fun thread and I like all of your favorites including the ones that are presently just raw steel and an idea.

As of now, my two favorite fixed blades are my Ranger RD9 and my Ranger custom bush shiv

Having only two fixed blades I think my best and my favorite is the newest one I just got and it is the Browning Crowell and Barker Competition model. I still like my little 4" Entrek though and it will likely get a lot more carry time than the Browning.

Wow guys those are some real nice customs! I'm diggin' that Bush Shiv Noshtero!

Custom Ranger RD 3.5
and Fallkniven F1

the Fallkniven F1 has a more refined look to it, but it's one stout blade.
The quality is excellent, the handle is not soft and tacky, rather hard, but it doesn't feels like plastic either.
