My absolute favorite

That faux-flipper and safety on your S&W knife look suspciously like a Schrade folder. The flipper sticks up even though the blade is open. Just like my friend's Schrade. Made on contract perhaps?

Anyway here's my Chill. Very lightweight, very budget friendly. Still working on my sharpening skills

I carry two knives every day. A Victorinox Farmer on my belt and an ~50 year old Ulster 180/Craftsman 9507 peanut I'm my pocket. The pair cost me less than $50.

Only knife I truly edc is the vic rambler on my key chain. I do have a peasant knife, opinel and kershaw thermite that often make it into my rotation.

Have several budgetknives that find their way into the EDC-rotation. This is one of them:

Kershaw Amplitude 3.25

Really nice Rexford design for the money. If it just were a bit lighter and a tad bit more well balanced...

benchmade mini barrage. Been carrying it for about 5 years and it shows it. Almost time to replace it, been sharpened so many times by me and benchmade the blades getting smaller.

Victorinox Tinker. I've carried one of these or a similar Vic since I was a boy. Incredible value for money, very versatile with the other (non-blade) tools factored in. This is typically complimented by a modern locking folder. The Vic is also my loaner knife.

Victorinox Tinker is mine. Carried it for many years.

In a way I consider my Griptiallian a budget carry. That's subjective, but the Grip or Endura is the best quality knife that I wouldn't cry too much over losing.

It's a good looking knife, especially for the pricetag and it's really light and fits my hand well. But I really hate mine!! It arrived badly off center, enough to scratch against the liner. The flipper doesn´t work and it still has side to side play. Not to mention how bad the grind was. Nothing is right with my specimen. It was too much hassle though to send it back across the pond. Strange because I have plenty of other Kershaws without any issues. It's just a rotten apple I guess.

My budget winter rotation includes the always-there, not-so-budget Pacific Salt (EDC daily since I got it, can't leave it behind) plus one or two of these:

In the Multitool sheath I sometimes slip a slip-joint of some kind because they tend to fit there being so slim...

I also jumped on the Pallares vagon a long time ago!
