Your budget everyday carry knife. Post yours!

That faux-flipper and safety on your S&W knife look suspciously like a Schrade folder. The flipper sticks up even though the blade is open. Just like my friend's Schrade. Made on contract perhaps?

Anyway here's my Chill. Very lightweight, very budget friendly. Still working on my sharpening skills

FYI, S&W and Schrade are both part of the Taylor Brands group of knives. So there are many of the same knives with slightly different cosmetics for marketing. Also made by them are Uncle Henry, Old Timer, Imperial, and possibly others. Anyway....

One of my oft carried budget knives is the Esee Izula, in thin pocket slip, dropped in back pocket.

Love the little Spyder Dragonfly as a secondary also.

Also, one of my guilty pleasures is picking up random Rough Rider or Colt knives, and scattering them about for easy access, or carry as secondary. They are inexpensive, and quality far exceeds average prices. Here is a fairly recent one, the Dog Bone Jack (with dog whistle).

Gotta love the RR Stoneworx also...

My budget winter rotation includes the always-there, not-so-budget Pacific Salt (EDC daily since I got it, can't leave it behind) plus one or two of these:

In the Multitool sheath I sometimes slip a slip-joint of some kind because they tend to fit there being so slim...

I also jumped on the Pallares vagon a long time ago!

Actually, your posts are what made me get a Pallares. It's the best food prep folder I've ever used, even better than a Military!

Svord Mini Peasant is a great EDC knife:

Victorinox Bantam is a lot of capability in a small package:

My budget EDCs include Vic Alox Electrician, DF2, Persistence, and a Case Peanut. Others, less budget friendly.

Pretty much all of my knives are budget. I'll need to put 'em all together for a group photo, but I've been EDC'ing a Mora Pro Flex, and before that I spent several years switching between a Pocket Bushman and an Opinel No.8. Sometimes I'll carry a Byrd Meadowlark Rescue in full serration when I'm cutting a lot of fibrous stuff.

You have always been a refreshingly humble man F.T.B. May you and yours have a wonderful new year.

I love these HK knives.

I rotate quite a few, mostly traditional folders. A large Colt stockman, a small Rough Rider Stockman, and an AG Russell trapper are 3 that are often in the rotation. I also have a nice Schatt and Morgan Kentucky Shiner that gets carried frequently, but that's not exactly inexpensive.

I'm going to have to go with my Ontario Rat I. It is my main EDC knife. I have been carrying it for some time, and I have put it to many uses, from the usual things like opening boxes and slicing fruit and cheese, to cutting rope and even cutting some tough PCV plumbing pipe when I needed to do an emergency repair, hardware stores were closed and I didn't want to drive 35 miles each way to go home and get my saw.

I hesitate to even call it a budget knife, even though it is inexpensive. I usually think of "budget knives" as Sanrenmu, Ganzo, etc. Just like I don't think of a Spyderco Tenacious or some of the nice Chinese Kershaws as "budget knives".

Ontario Rat I - if you EVER find a better knife for the same or less money, BUY IT! then PM me and let me know. I want one, too.

Good stuff guys, couldn't agree with this more! For some reason I can't get my Kershaw Cryo G-10 out of my pocket, just love the size and weight! I do like my Rat 2 to play with though, stays right on my den table just to flick, so much fun and very therapeutic! Kind of like Bogey in Caine Mutiny with those ball bearings!

De-assisted Kershaw Link (1776).
Lightweight, great belly and strong tip.
Best of all though: $30 and Made in America.

Lol, guess the term " budget" is pretty open ended, dependent upon one's own individual "budget"...

Yes very open ended... Guess you dont own any ~$30 knives. I bet you have some insane high end stuff if $100 is a budget knife for u
