Svord Mini Peasant is a great EDC knife:

Have been meaning to, and forgetting about, getting a few of those for a year or two, lol. Thanks for the heads up again.

been carrying S&W first production run full auto its legal here in tn . somebody up in nasville must like knives new laws for knives went into effect past july

Some of those are like $100 a piece... Not sure that qualifies as "budget"

If you mean HK in general, yes. But some HK's are made on the US Benchmade line, but others are made in China and much less expensive.

Vic SAKs are what I generally carry. Have a number of budget blades that are available for regular carry if I choose to. I don't define a $100 knife as a budget blade.

Oh yeah! The link is next on my list

I've got both the blackwash/aluminum and the satin/nylon versions of these. For whatever reason Kershaw decided to only give the blackwash blade a detent hole. So be aware of that if you are looking to de-assist this knife. (in other words the satin blade will not stay closed without a detent hole or the spring bar in place).

My EDC is a Great Eastern Cutlery Tascosa which on-line goes for approximately $80 give or take a few bucks. Not too expensive for an EDC.

My budget folder is the RAT Model 1:

Of course, I went a bit over budget because I bought ten of them... LOL:

But very expensive to some for what it is. $80 for a Spyderco will get you a lot more cutting ability, and arguably (not really arguable but being nice) more useful steel and better quality. GEC appeals mostly to traditional collectors. Consider the recent "new model rope (navy) knife"...... at how many pieces??? I rest my case. I own many GECs and I think I'm done buying them. Price does not justify what you get, in my humble opinion. And yes I own 2 GEC 83s, one natural stag and one autumn bone. Both required the kick to be sanded down by ME. Tips of both blades sat proud enough to cut whist locating the knife in the pocket. Unacceptable at that price point. Not a budget EDC as OP proposed.

not really budget friendly but this is my EDC , XM 18 maxpedition wallet key smart & so on

I'm curious why you would post this on a budget-minded thread. It's the exact opposite and has no place here. And you actually took the time to upload a picture too. It looks like a Chinese fake to me so maybe it is "budget". DB!

My everyday carry knife is a Rough Rider Trapper.
I love these knives and have never once had a problem with any of them and I use them hard every day!

Too many SanRenMus and Enlans to post. At last count, they make up almost 50+ and still growing. I take pride in the fact that my entire collection is made up of Chinese knives that are extremely inexpensive (<$13) and yet feature reasonable steel such as 8Cr13MoV or 7Cr17.

these - I got the HK Enigma for like $25 or something like that. Great knife for the price. And the Gerber EAB is also super cheap.

Hmm, let's see. Most used ones are Ontario RAT 1, Ka-bar Dozier Mini Hunter, Cold Steel Tuff Lite Mini, SanRenMu 7010, Opinel no. 8 Carbone, ESEE Zancudo, CRKT Swindle, and a bunch of Moras and Marttiinis.

My most used "budget knives" are the Opinel Outdoor model, the Vic Sentinel, and the ESEE Avispa.
