Your Longest-Running User Knife?

I basically haven't been without a knife for over 40 years. But the longest running that I continue to carry is an old school black s110v SnG. Got it slightly used shortly after it's release. Love that knife, hardly ever needs sharpening. But I have to confess, I recently got a DGG s110v SnG, and now that one tends to dominate my pocket. That DGG is the bomb. I carry a lot of different knives, but this one is the longest currently running.

Great idea for a thread.

I carried a Benchmade Ascent 2, got a first production when they switched to using 154cm, it stayed with me for 12 or so years before I lost it. Still havent found anything with that perfect sized blade, handle thickness, and weight. Recently got a 940-1, and I think its as close as Ill get, so Im sure itll be with me for a long while.

My oldest knife is a Schrade Old Timer 120T. I've had it since the mid 90's (probably close to 19 or 20 years now). My dad had it for some number of years (not sure how long) before that. It's been retired for several years now after the horizontal movement got really bad. It still actually has a good snap to it.

The oldest of the knives that still regularly makes it into my EDC rotation is my composite blade Leek (maybe 3-4 years old). I have some that are older, but I think this is the oldest of the ones that still gets regular use. Up until recently (just this past winter), my Vic Super Tinker (probably 16-17 years old) would have been the longest-running user. But that was retired a few months back and succeeded by a Vic Yeoman.

Victorinox Swisschamp carried off and on since '92. This is not the original one I bought.

Victornox just gave me a new one around '03 rather than repair it (loose implements, dinged, beaten). I still carry a 'Champ despite past attempts to carry other Vics.

Good ol' Buck 119, bought circa 2003. Not quite EDC, but it saw a lot of camping trips, car trunk duty, and numerous other small tasks. Broke off the tip at some point, then reshaped it.

Mine was a Swiss army knife. I think it was the explorer model but I'm not sure. I carried that in the 90s for around 12 years before I lost it.

My ontario rat 1. Had it for 4 years. Broken tip, off center blade, chips and dings, slight rust, still my go to. But I'm trying to carry my zt 350 and paramilitary 2 more often.

Delica 4. Had it for over three years now. It's been caked with everything you can think of, and still opens smooth.

Other than my work knives, my large gabon, it sees the most pocket time of all my knives.
I've dropped it many times and luckily never landed on the super thinned out tip, which greatly helps poke/slice boxes or bags.

I've always been a knife guy, but only started carrying folders for about 2 years. As I get older, I see the benefit of having one opposed to not having one.

My pm2. Out of all the "new" knives I've bought it would always find its way back into my pocket. I think my sebenza may be creeping up on it though

I too go through phases but in terms of most time - hands down the Buck 110 Folding Hunter. As a young man it was my EDC everything knife and did so reliably. I can't even count how many deer I field dressed with that knife. I eventually sent it back to Buck and got it returned to me like brand new; and so it is stored today. The old beat-up sheath stays as it was except for a coating of leather treatment. It will be an heirloom for my son when I pass on.

Just like previously posted in this thread, I have an old Buck 119 Special that I saved up for and purchased new. I field dressed my first elk with that knife and it has seen many camping trips, hunting trips, cook outs and campfires - along with much truck and backpack time.

Anymore I've probably got the most pocket time on an Emerson CQC-8 which I have since tucked into the safe as its serial number is my birth year; another heirloom. Second to that was an Emerson SOCFK that I traded to a friend who traded me back a Commander I had previously sold to him.

As an aside, I have a Buck Stockman that has years and years of pocket time and, though odd by today's standards, was my EDC when I was a State Trooper. My back-up was an ankle gun and sometimes a .25 pocket pistol as well; I wasn't going to no Onion Field.
