Nice finds I was trying to see why I couldn’t recognize them but new old stock makes sense . I have a spyderco mule team woodcraft blade and most people I show it to say it’s a fake because they haven’t seen one before it came in a similar package

Police 4 Lightweight SPY27. The edge bevel was a little too obtuse and not a great cutter when new, which is very unusual for a new Spyderco. I wasn't careful when I reprofiled and resharpened, so it looks bad, but it's a great cutter now, which is its purpose.

Another EB find that went unsold for some time before the seller accepted my offer . . .

It's a rare ATS-34 G10 Spyderco Terzuola (C15GPS) -- Vintage: 1994-1997:

This completes my C15 Terzuola set which also includes the aluminum black beaded scaled PE & PS models - Vintage 1990-1993 -- of which there are a couple of variations. However, no other variations of the G10 model were ever made:

I wish the G-10 version was produced with a plain edge. A sprint run in ply-peel CF, Cru-Wear and a wire clip would be fantastic!!

I wasn't sure that I wanted to buy the new Gen 3 Spyderco Sprint Starmate 20V but I saw one on The Exchange for a decent discount below MAP. So, I bought it.

It rounds out my Starmate collection, which (from top to bottom are) the:

1) Gen 1 440V SE
2) Gen 1 440V PE
3) Gen 2 VG10
4) Gen 3 20V

The most noticeable difference in the 20V from the others seems to be the more sculpted shape of the hollow ground blade, the more pronounced & aggressive jimping on the spine of the blade & the tip up (vs tip down) blade position of the pocket clip.

You can position the clip on the 20CV & VG10 anyway you like but this is the 1st time the clip on the Starmate has come from the factory in the tip up position. The clip on the 440Vs only came in the tip down position & there is no way to change it, without a;tering those knives.

The the main difference between the Gen 2 VG10 & the original 440V versions seems to be just the lack of the Terzuola medallion on the show side of the handle. Furthermore, Gen 2 VG10 version of the Starmate was never designated a "Sprint" & FWIW apparently was "just" just a reissue.

The Gen 2 VG10 also has full liners increasing its weight compared with the original Gen 1 440's & the Gen 3 20V which just have G10 scales w/an inlaid lockbar.

Otherwise, in terms of shape & size, all of the Starmates appear to be virtually identical.

The native 5 is such a kick-ass design. I feel it's everything a linerless knife should be. The frn/geometry/backlock are all masterfully done.

Received it in a private trade deal outside of BF. Been looking for one of these for a LONG time to pair it with the Spyderco Gen 1 PE S/S Police Model already in my collection.
