Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Been eyeing this orange Sodbuster Jr. at a local hardware store. Finally pulled the trigger on it and it was the last one, bought the display piece. View attachment 2271789
It's a bit gritty in the action, but I'll give it a good flushing once I'm home. Otherwise everything fit'n'finish wise is great.
After eyeballing for a while, then one finally takes it home... there's just something about that knife then.

Haha. You can keep your phone. It's from a Fuji mirrorless camera.
Fuji makes some good camera. After I bought my Leica D-LUX 5 about 10 years ago I was happy with it, as it was quite a bit better than any phone camera around. But got the bug for a better camera about 3 years ago, and was going to pull the trigger on the Fuji X-T4. Then I was like, "when will I ever use this vs my iPhone 11 Pro Max's camera?" and that was that. I'd love a better camera, but if I never carry it with me everywhere, then it does me no good.

No doubt, phone cameras are amazing these days. I do take my fuji camera (X-T3) just about everywhere, but it's a habit I had to build up. I really enjoy the process so it's worth the inconvenience to me.

And of course I then have it around the house for these all-important knife shots.

The picture makes them appear similar sized but, being so much lighter in weight, the Opinel No 6 feels small in the hand compared with the LionSteel bestMAN BM13.

What is your method for the forced patina?
I don't think it was forced. It had a spotty patina when he acquired it, and he gave it a slight or partial hand satin rub down to clean it up a little.

I had this cute little Barlow show up along with other group yesterday. But, the rules said it needed a slight alteration to post here. It also fits better in the pocket without that clip. ;) It's described as a Boker Plus double detent Barlow flipper. I'm not sure if the rules would exclude the flipper part, but there is just enough grip on the back of the spine for my fingers to not need that.
