My Opinel No. 10 came today.

This is my first experience with the new locking ring, and I think I will have to pop it off and modify it like others have done. There was quite a bit of blade movement in use (maybe because of the nub which stops the rotation), and it only turns the “wrong” way (for me). It seems thinner and cheaper, too. - I think it’s the same gauge, but feels flimsier due to the larger diameter.

The blade on the other hand is great. It came with a bit of a wire edge from the factory, but that was quickly remedied, and it makes wood shavings like you wouldn’t believe. The handle is comfy too, as you would expect. I see this knife getting a lot of use in the future.

This Buck 110 Folding Hunter LT arrived in the mail yesterday afternoon. Locks up tighter than a drum with absolutely no blade play what so ever. It'll make a good truck knife/road knife.

I have the 112 Ranger version of that in my car, and sent my spare one off to G2 to play with as it was just too many for me...

Rough Ryder RR375 whittler arrived today. 3.25" closed. Decent walk and good talk. No blade wobble. Thin, slicey blades sharp out of the box. My other RR whittlers are splitbacks. This one uses a catchbit and tapered springs. Approximately 12mm thick at one end and 10.9mm at the other. Primary blade is not centered, but c'mon...its a nicely made knife :)
