Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Thanks Will!

My first one, a large lambsfoot, was as you describe. It took about a week of light sanding on the tang, opening and closing it repeatedly and flushing. Then some white grease and now it is a hard pull but nice and smooth. Good and firm lockup for a large knife!

This new sheepsfoot needed cleaned out, worked and oiled but the pull is light. It was really surprising. I expected another bear trap but would compare the pull with the case knives I've purchased. Just strong enough to hold it in place. Opposite end of the spectrum.
These lambs are like a box of crackerjack. A surprise with everyone.( from A.Wright)

Here's my latest. Amazing shape considering it could be 100 years old! Can anybody help me with some info about this knife?

Would need to know the closed length to take a guess at the model number. If 3" closed, it could be a 32024 1/2? Beautiful as those yellow celluloid covers are, they appear to be starting to deteriorate. The cracks, discoloration at the spring pin and the blade discoloration all point in this direction. Here is a link to an article about celluloid on the OKCA website.

It is 3 inches and I think you are right about the model number, thank you.

Pretty good day at the antique malls.

The one with the $15 label is a Waterville/ Cutlery Co/ Conn.
I had to buy the Imperial FB because it has a solid handle.
I had to but the Quickut stainless because it was 20% off of $2.50.
