Mini trapper I got for really good price. The blue G10, satin finish and nickel silver liners (assumably) make this knife suuuper fresh. Great for lover of blue like me. 😁
Fit&finish was good overall except for the edges and slight bladeplay. Both fixed this morning the first time I woke up.

One ill lit and one ill framed, but-

440 stainless. I don't know what the point is of not specifying which 440.
It's rated four stars where I bought it, and the main complaint seems to be "It's too heavy". You can get this sort of thing with a wispy flexible blade, but I didn't want that.
This is balanced about 5" from the bottom of the guard or 7" from the bottom of the grip. AI tells me the originals were balanced 5 or 6 inches from the guard, so we're pretty close.
The scabbard near the throat grips the blade somehow. The locket of the scabbard fits snugly into a recess in the guard.
There's one cosmetic flaw: the pommel isn't quite coplanar with the blade and guard.
It's going to stand up to the the Xing Yi Five Elements form just fine. An excellent sword for the purpose and a fantastic sword for the price.
Very exceptionally nice. 😍👍
Did it come sharp, or is sharpening it your weekend project?
Do you have a frog or baldric for it?
It should make for a dandy EDC. 😇👍

Thank you!
The edges aren't sharp, and I'll leave it that way at least for a while. As it is, the only way I could see hurting myself with it would be by stabbing myself in the brain stem or the carotid artery, during the flip from "pierce low aft" to "pierce high forward".
I could carry it on a bath-robe tie.

Talking of wait and this is an outrage, POSTI (the Finnish P.O.) have been keeping this in its dungeon in Vantaa since 24 February! Some real BS about needing safety data for the EU...the parcel was 100% correctly addressed, tracked and labelled with country of origin code, declarations and labels. Seems somebody had forgotten to attach another label to it so nobody knew what to do nor would make a decision.......

Really great knife mind, the GEC 93 and the Micarta means worker, another one for the Chopper collection

And I thought I had some postal horror stories to share. I'll just keep them to myself now. Glad it finally arrived safely. Good lookin' knife.

Blade Show knives I picked up today. Great day had a fantastic time. The 77 and Laguiole were on the list to look for, so success there. G2K too nice to pass up (also I didn’t spend my last dollar so also very nice).

And a couple pics of the main room from a booth just inside one of the entrances.

I wanted one of these when they first came out, for the centered point and the pocketable handle. I think they must have been extra expensive when they came out. I finally was inspired to get one by R8shell's discussion in the Alive in 25 thread.
It's my new favorite Opinel, and I'll be surprised if it ever gets displaced.
