View attachment 2909008I just received this from charlie @waynorth and charlie being an astute observer of all things concerning canadian moose was quick to notice Manitoba had 57% decline in moose populations, this in just the last decade,so he is trying to do his part of replenishing the population here.
Fine arrival and it will certainly be appreciated

Interesting about the Moose (Elk) population, depressing too, here the number of Elk (what we call Moose so cool down ;):)) has certainly been declining severely for a decade, nobody seems to have a clear reason- could be disease, some illegal irresponsible hunting, Wolves, but I can certainly say that in this area logging and tree felling has been going like crazy-this must have an impact on their food and habitat clearly.

Ya one of the problems is major roads and power lines in areas that were hard to reach, now it is accessible to alot of southern hunters who just have to travel the roads and call,it doesn't require a canoe and long hikes through the bush, then factor in the people killing cows,If I remember my math killing one cow extrapolates to something like 16 moose in 3 years.
