Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Came across a large lot of NIB Black Box Winchesters on a hunting forum I frequent. 18 different patterns all at a great price. Alas, I could only afford 2 of them before the seller pulled the rest of the lot to ship off to an online knife auction house. Wish I would have found a way to nab a couple more, but feel fortunate to have gotten these two. Maybe my enthusiasm tipped him off.

You chose the right two!

I’ve been on a Scout knife kick here lately.

Stumbled upon this Rough Ryder with a 4.25 inch handle and a 3.0 inch blade. Thought it might be cool to have a larger Scout and so far, I like it. Half Stops throughout which is taking some getting used to.

I have the Marbles Dave Canterbury scout, and I think it is probably the same knife for the most part. I like it alot, but I found it was a chunk in my pocket. I need to see if I can find a belt sheath for mine

Yes Sir. It certainly is a chunk in the pocket. Thick and heavy. I like mine too but yeah, it’s like having a potato in my pocket.

This beauty came today and she’s my first #301. Nice fit and finish, no half stops, decent walk and talk and razor sharp out of the box. It’s a keeper! 😀

If anything like my standard 301 from 2014/2015, you will NEVER have to fight it to open any of the blades.
Personally, I like the "light" around a "4" pull. Strong enough the blades don't try to open in the pocket, or flop partly closed between cuts when in use. 😁👍

I had one of these before and sold it (foolishly) but when this one came up at a good price I rectified the situation.
There are a few specs on the markside of the sheepfoot, but otherwise it is near mint and has terrific W&T.

I am lucky to have a couple of knives from Mike Szcherny, who does amazing work. I'm also a big fan of the Dogleg pattern -- so, when I saw this "Dixie Dogleg" from Mike, it definitely caught my attention. At first glance, the covers appeared to be simply a beautiful amber carved stag. Upon closer inspection, though, it seemed that there was more to it than that -- a design jigged into the bone covers. I have never seen anything like this before, and I think it is subtle and very cool. Really nice work!

Those covers look bookmatched. I wonder if there is a machine or mechanical device of some kind involved?

Case Copperlock. Exceeds expectation. Every transition is excellent. I moved the blade to center and it has stayed there for now, sharpened as good as any Case I have seen, and should only need a few passes on sharpmaker. Copperlock fits my hand well and look forward to using.

Whatever he's using or how the end result is genius! Beautiful colour and depth here, running satisfyingly into the bolster. Overall, the proportions of the knife are spot-on and it has that look that suggests the more it's used the better it'll be :cool: That can be elusive on many Customs which can look very inert and sterile as if not meant to be used.

Great to see this kind of quality in the right home :)

Thanks, Will
