Looks unused, like it just sat in a drawer for 20 years. Still has the factory edge. Couple of surface spots from sheath contact.

Very nice SAK

After a long, stressful day (week!) at work, nothing brings good cheer like a full mailbox! :D

The first new arrival was a Ka-Bar KA-BAR-LO that came to me by way of waynorth (thank you!), about 10 years old:

From the bolster stamp's play on words to the dog's head to the marvelous stag, I love this knife! Exceptional taste, that waynorth!

And second, a Schatt & Morgan cattle knife (one of their #99 Scout offerings):

That bone! I don't even. It's like melted honey.

This is my first knife with a punch, and I don't think it'll be my last. As I experiment with different patterns, it seems like one of the more useful secondary blade options out there.

Very nice! I picked up one of those on the exchange last month (thanks, EyeDog!)
The bone on mine doesn't have the depth of yours, but I like it just the same. :)
The punch is a useful tool for scraping, saving the edge on the main blade. I also really like the shape of the spear blade. It's a little pointier than you usually see,

I like the bone on yours! It has a kind of saddle-leather-and-Old-West feel to it, with a hint of horn. :)

Natural light around dusk accounts for a good amount of the depth in mine.

Haven't checked this thread for a couple of days. We have a LOT of winners here!! ;);)

This Schrade 804

Congrats on a spectacular whittler, Phil!:thumbup:

Humphreys Radiant Sheffield "Real Lamb Foot" I like it!!!:D:cool::D

An modified Opinel #7 in beechwood found it's way to me today as well as I received some cherry and mahogany from a good friend with a dog paw spoon to boot.

Now that is one super fine Dog!!! That will take the stress right out of your day:D:thumbup::thumbup:

Tim, that spoon put a smile on my face!! Super!! Cant wait to see what your makin:D

Ditto!

That's a cool spoon Tim. :D

Thank you Bob, David and Gevonovich :) the spoon was specially carved by a lady friend of mine, short stubby spoon for my pup's little legs. :D
Mahogany and cherry have such great aromas to the wood themselves. Still planning out what to carve but will update for sure~

Tim: Love that spoon! Has your friend been giving you carving pointers??

Mark: great matched stag on that beauty!

Some of you probably saw my quick sale go through this morning. It's so I could afford this Ohta. I've been looking for a nice multi-blade custom and also have looked for an Ohta...killed two birds with one knife!! Should have it in a few days. I can't wait to see it in hand.

You still on for that patina contest;) haha

Thanks Ryan! Let the contest begin!! :D I always start with hot vinegar, it keeps the patina consistent when in use.;):D
