Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Tim: Love that spoon! Has your friend been giving you carving pointers??

Mark: great matched stag on that beauty!

Some of you probably saw my quick sale go through this morning. It's so I could afford this Ohta. I've been looking for a nice multi-blade custom and also have looked for an Ohta...killed two birds with one knife!! Should have it in a few days. I can't wait to see it in hand.

Haha actually she's my tattoo artist/ I actually got her into traditionals after posting photos on Instagram after she saw a shark tooth and a couple spoons I made. I've been giving her pointers to avoid sad bloody fingers but sometimes it doesn't work out. She's amazing though. Carved a couple spoons from blackwood which is some hard stuff.
Ohta sans work is one I really enjoy. Most japanese custom makers branch into chefs knifes or more artisanal knives. Ohta san is the only one I know of that does full on traditionals.

Some really nice linear stag on that one Mark. What a beaut!

Hey Gary, no love for a nice production knife in awesome stag? Tough crowd man, tough crowd. :(

I know I'm the wrong Gary, Mark, but I'm overflowing with love for your new #73; it DOES have awesome stag!! Congrats on a spectacular knife!:thumbup:
(You know Peregrin is an Ohta-maniac so he's not likely to even see anything besides Jake's fabulous Ohta! :D:D)

Lol! That Northfield is a beauty, Mark! I just have a soft spot for Ohta's.

Gary 5k hit the nail on the head.

Jake, you and Gary are going to turn me into an OHTA-holic.....lol ( thanks for the laugh GT )

Mark
Now that is some fine cutlery, Sir!!

Mark I love that 73! I don't have nor have I owned one but maybe I need one in stag now!

And if it makes you feel better you can report my post so that I get flagged since I don't have the knife in hand yet. That is the point of this thread!

(Gary...please ignore the flagged post report haha)

Jeff...it's 3.5" closed.

I was able to pick up two fantastic knives thanks to a GREAT Sale on the exchange from Sketch32. Case/Bose Millennium Trapper & GEC Real Harness Knife:

Old Bowie-Love that Remington Harness Jack
Dadpool-Super nice KA-BAR-LO
Jake-I can see why you sacrificed some to get that Ohta. Exceptional looking knife
Mark-Wow, that is a beauty, I couldn't wait to get mine after seeing it.
Scott-I was fortunate to get a 6392 case from Sketch32 but you hit the jackpot there, really beautiful knives.

After seeing the beautiful stag posted from Dadpool, Jake, and Mark I couldn't wait to get this 73 from tonystl. I can't believe I didn't notice the flush joint on the 73 before. (excuse the last photo angle, the blade is centered, just tried to get the flush joint)
