Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Brumby and Dean Thanks for your comments on the Barlow, a great unsung hero in my estimation.

Thieves Fine Rem that, is it a re-handled one? Very nice find.

Regards, Will

Thanks Will, got a good deal on it too.

Original covers afaik, Its imitation ivory composite. Not sure if it celluloid or not, doesn't appear to be. I really dig the lines in it. Great piece.

Thanks bud, tang stamp puts it between 1933-35!
I agree it appears like it was bought>stored away>forgotten>found and sold to me :)

Not even any rust on the inner springs.

That fixed blade is something else!

strange one, I got this used old cross farmer from the major auction site, thinking that the blade looked surprisingly good in contrast to the scales. When I got it, I saw that the entire tool set was brand new, even the joints were oiled as from the factory, but the scales were old, and the liners were old brass. I guess someone's beat up old farmer got a renovation trip to the factory. I do like the look of the worn alox, like faded denim jeans or patinaed leather shoes.

Bought this one secondhand from a cotton farmer on here :D, put in a bit of time with polish and 2000 grit to buff out the scratches and marrs and now it's sitting pretty. :D
My first experience with a custom slipjoint, a Ken Coats spearpoint with a hand rubbed satin blade.
