Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Just in today is my Case yellow CV medium stockman. First Case, first stockman, first yellow. You get lots of "firsts" with most any knife when your collection is as small as mine.

I had a couple users arrive today. First up is a carved stag bone Queen #06L from around 2004, my favorite single blade with its great D2 steel.

Second is a mid '80s Fight'n Rooster Eureka Jack in some nice stag. Looks cleaned, but full blades for a good user. Neither of these has very well matched covers, but they both have some nice character and are hard to find patterns that I really like. :)

Great looking stag even if not matched Jeff, the eureka frame really lends itself in every which way and grip.

Mmmm, I like the pile side of that Fight'n Rooster. Nice!

Biggie, as my teenaged daughter used to say, "No duh!" Terrific popcorn stag is high on my favorites list.

That is simply beautiful. Hope you are enjoying it!

Posted this in the whittler thread too, but I figured I'd throw it in here as well. S & M 3 back spring whittler from 2010. 3 3/4" closed. Nice fit and finish on this model. NIB, but it'll need a little sharpening. Has the Queen SS blades which is 440c if I'm correct?

Joe, I believe that one is from the Keystone Series, and except for a few runs, they had 420HC blades. Queen used 440C before about 1990.

Anytime David. ah right in that sweet spot for slipjoints. The lightning strike carbon fibre with the shadow pattern just brings it all together.

Thank you good sir for the info. I've had decent performance with this on other knives so I'm sure it'll be just fine. I just mostly prefer a stainless blade but from 440c up to S110v, Vic's stainless, it's all good.

I'm not real picky. Lol. Except for that really low end stuff that you can just about bend with your fingers.

These have come over the last few days. Two are part of the great whittler quest. Two are the beginnings of a case collection.

I didn't realize how much the yellow covers appeal to me. Of course nice photography helps alot.

Great gift Dave, I wish they provided the fluted bolsters on more of their knives at GEC. It really adds a special touch with a large 'threaded' bolster and that rectangle shield.
