Many thanks to my Brother Lyle, for taking me under his wing, sharing his vast knowledge and a few of his treasured Farmers jacks.

Best regards

Two years ago, in an ill-applied exercise in self-control, I walked away from an ebony Scout, first at GEC when the hershey-bar knives were unveiled during the 2013 Rendezvous, continuing throughout their ready availability in the weeks (months?) thereafter.

Stubborn, I.

And haunted by the one(s) that got away I intentionally walked away from.

Repeatedly.

Nice! You got the one that you got away from... or something like that :D

I just came upon a nice set of Boker USAs, plus a Boker Solingen pen. They are having a short soak, and I'll do more clean-up on them this weekend.

Two GEC traditional folders arrived today.

Tidioute Beer Scout Knife. Ebony wood scales.

Northfield Big Jack. Tortoise acrylic scales.

Barry I owe you one. The Gun Scout trumps all my other Beer/Soda Scouts - love it!

I'm also a sucker for French knives - new Perceval Le Francais with Juniper wood scales. (love the smell of Juniper)

Something different.....Becker BK-5.

BK-5 in the house!!!! In a word.....AWESOME!!!!!

Really nice SAK . not sure whether that's traditional though . but i could be wrong I think is a fine line with fixed blades :)

I wish there was a "drooling" emoji, 'cause I'd use it here for sure! Instead I'll use the "Shocked beyond belief" emoji.....!
What a great collection!

Where is the Gun Scout sold? Is it bigger than the Beer Scout?

Agree: awesome blade, not traditional, further postings of it should be elsewhere.

Now that's traditional SAK  . I like it but I think I would be tempered to remove the red off the handle :)

This is a same era knife in a #2 size...the guy I bought it from said the red was a little faded so he redid it in a nice durable automotive red.......

Now that is a red I'd be tempted to lose!!!!!! :D
