It was a very happy birthday [emoji1]
Seizo Imai knife and bottle of fine rum.

Happy B-day, Rinos!!:D:D The knife is one of a kind and I hope to see more pictures soon!!! Wow!!

Don't agree there Bro.Jim:D I'm really all over the drop-point, rides so low in the frame. Great knives whatever the blade choice mind:thumbup:

Thanks, Will

Maybe the swedge and long pull has added attraction for me on this clip point. Drop point is definitely a stronger tip than a clip point.

Very nice Ron, not seen those before

Thanks Jack! I was at the right place at the right time for once! I believe they only made 19 of these and I may be wrong but they did not show them on the web site at all. :D

Great score Ron, sometimes it pays to keep your eyes open!

Bob - Thank you Sir! It definitely does pay sometimes! These are really beautiful knives. Both are similar but different enough in coloring and texture to make it nice to have them both. ;):D

Grrreat score, Ron!! Two great additions to the covey!!!

Thanks Gev! I was really fortunate to be able to grab these 2!! :D

Thanks a lot Gevo and NJBILLK . Much appreciated . Way too many unbelievable knives were available this year from GEC , especially their Stag and SFO's.

Harry

Alright guys, now try to not get too jealous when I show you this next one that came in the mail today...

Ok, obviously I did not purchase this for myself. A girl I work with was asking me about my #15 Boy's Knife the other day, and jokingly asked if they made any pink pocket knives. Why yes, yes they do. And for less than $8 shipped on the big auction site, I figured why not get her the pinkest, girliest knife I could find.

She won't be able to open that with her nails!

I'm just kidding folks...

I am glad you were able to get someone interested in knives. I would suggest the GEC in
"Pink Abalone Looking Glass" if she wants something a bit more up the food chain.

NICE drop point fixed blade Pertinux... Haven't heard of Redmeadow before. Tell us about this. what type of blade, handle. Looks good to EDC at about 7 in? subtle hamon and swedged also!!!

Now that knife has that special something, ~P! I had to study it for a minute! Wow:thumbup::thumbup: I also would like to know more:D

Thanks, guys!

Swaybacksteve, what more to say? You nailed it all! :)

Okay, almost all: Yes, it's just over 7", with subtle hamon and swedged blade. The handles are made of stippled walnut, and the blade is my favorite supersteel-- 1095.

I just won this knife in a random.org giveaway hosted by the maker, and am blown away-- I had no idea I'd be receiving something so fine, and so well-suited to me. I hadn't heard of REDMEADOW Knives before myself, or rather, didn't realize that a member I (we?) know as lessismore is such an accomplished bloke!

I just wrote more about the knife, with additional images, here.
