Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

I had commented on a pic last week which was blademan 13's Stag 38 Grinling Whittler and how I was trying to track one down for some time. Well yesterday's mail came and what a surprise! A gift from Jamie (blademan 13).
I suspect shenanigans as I did not give him my address and he never made mention of it.
Thank you so much Jamie. I love this one. :D

You're making me jealous!!

And an AGR medium Gunstock in Cocobolo that was passed on to me from a forum member due to F&F issues. It also got an adjustment, and there is still some slight up/down play, but not too bad. This thing has beefy 0.155" blade stock, which is much thicker than I was expecting. I really like the aesthetics though, so its being carried today along with the case.

I can see why you like the aesthetics -- what a great-looking knife!

I was fortunate enough to acquire this 2011 Case/Bose Coffin Jack in ebony, which I've been coon-fingering and chicken-eyeing since it arrived last night. I'm not sure I can adequately describe how marvelous this knife is, so I'll let the pictures do the talking.

What a generous man Jamie is ! He sent you a knife that he likes. This makes it a true gift.
Bob, your post put a heart warming smile on my face.

In the last 11 posts of this thread, I realized how much I appreciate finding BF. Acts of generosity like Jamie's, the excellent advice I received from all re: my posting, and the creative pics of a variety of knives (love that Case/Bose and the way you displayed it, Dadpool) make this a special forum. THANKS ALL!!!

Good Job, Jamie! (also to your invisible shenanigans partner).

I recieved this gorgeous Northfield #54 "Big Jack" in burnt stag today from a friend in Philly as a Christmas gift. It's a large frame at 4 1/8" but it's two full sized (Clip and Spear) long-pull blades make it a very capable knife. I haven't been able to stop fondling it since it arrived. It's my first knife in stag, so I'm fascinated by the contours of it's scales.

Thank you to Jason (fot0 here on BF) for such a beautiful gift!!!

All the way from Jackson TN to "out past the black stump" Australia.

These took a while to get to the other side of the world ... but they finally got here just in time for Christmas! WOW !!! Compliments of KBA (Brett) in his generous Thanks Giving GAW & I like both very much.
Neither of these knives are readily available here in Australia - the first I have seen. The Trestle Pine is the top quality I would expect of a knife made by Queen Cutlery but equally impressed with the OCOEE River a very well made & finished knife. Cannot wait to show them off to a few of my Mates.
To all on Blade Forums (Traditional) - a wonderful community to be a part of - wishing you all a Happy & Safe Festive Season I trust the New Year brings nothing but contentment and good health.
