Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Haha I rarely rest.

Very nice! I love how Westinghouse will darken over time. That future yellow tinge will go perfectly with the red liners. Usually I think a shadow Lannys needs something more but this looks like just the right amount of style and a real nice user.
Have a good night Steve~

Dadpool maybe head out to the Old Knives thread...I'll be meeting up with one of the regulars and I'll ask if you don't figure it out by then. Real nice looking pattern and yes much more random and deep. Rogers ( the manufacturing co.)tho had a few specific jigged patterns, like the peachseed, and yup haven't made anything in quite a while.
but the Richmond in dark brown jigged pattern looks close...head over to the culpepper site. Sorry for taking this off track mods.

since I had to work the holidays just got a peek at this...

Simply stunning!

I must have been good this year ;) Santa brought me 2 Christmas colored knives. :) A Red 49 and a Green 48.:D

I have had the Pena for 2-3 years. The Halfrich is a recent arrival. Both are 4 1/8" closed, but they have different frame shape and blade profile,

Both feel natural in hand, such that you don't want to put it down, and blade action is equally pleasing, hence not possible to choose one as a favorite over the other.

Pretty rough day at work, and the week isn't shaping up to be much better, but…

KJ, those are wonderful. Two makers on the short list of who I want knives from. I like the unique look of the grind on the Peña and the Halfrich ticks all the boxes.

I found a set of Westerns. A stainless, and a carbon "carpenter's whittler",
and a stockman with punch! :)

I got these at a thrift shop today. Not super top shelf like some of the knives posted, but $5 each!

This new 77 Yankee Jack in cocobolo has been in my pocket since Christmas morning. The guys that put these together just like my little 15 jack didn't hold back at all! There is no way I can capture the real beauty of this knife on my crappy cell phone!

That is such a classy amazing knife. Man I wish custom slippers weren't so expensive because they call to me all the time.
